这是我的第一篇，肯定有很多不足的地方，希望得到大家的指正和修改，我会加油的~~~

1。社会需要复合型人才，更有能力解决问题，我们具有复合知识才更具有竞争性。现在很多招聘的公司和老板都希望兼备多方面知识的人才。
2。专业知识是建立在一定的综合素质基础上才得以发挥的。现实存在的很多事物都是复杂的组成，因此解决他们也要涉及不止一方面的问题，而是多方面的问题。EG：现在好多NOBEL的经济学奖得主是数学家，EINSTEIN的相对论虽然是物理领域的，他很早就想到了，但是他花了大量的时间去研究数学工具才论证成功的。园林专业也要涉及各科知识。
3。让步：在VARIOUS DISCIPLINES基础上要有重点，专业才得以有所成绩。太广泛无主次之分，都只是泛泛的学没有深入也是无用的。次要都是主要的辅助工具，计算机研究会涉及到数学，物理，甚至生物的知识，但这些最终是为了计算机研究服务的。

《正文》（好象只有480来个字吧:(）

The needs of people with various knowledge become increasingly seriously in this competitive society。As a result，we have to confront the fact before we get out of campus。Meanwhile，universities，the base of educating people of synthetic knowledge and experience，have to require students studying not only in their own fields，but in the outside。

Recently，it is eager that our society requests advanced ability of dealing with complex problems。Thus，we have to get compositive knowledge in different fields besides our own。In that case，there is more competence to stand in the rapidly developing world for us。For instance，the employers of several enterprises，at present，calls candidates acquainted with English and computer in China。As they said，what the need is the superior。Therefore，society runs at a high speed with the development of parts it worked by people familiar in fields。

Furthermore，the existence of expertise’s superiority depends on general knowledge。Everything stays in the world as a intricacy relevant to something else，thus，we have to deal with them not in one field，but in anyone they relating to。Taking the winner of Nobel prize of economics for example，they often come from mathematicians。In addition，Einstein，the great scientist，had studied in his theory of relativity for a long time。Unexpected，he spent lots of it to study mathematics，however。As for me，my major，landscape，is related to art，architecture，gardening，etc。Obviously，it is efficient that embody the expertise in one field is based on the general。

To some extent，there is no use to learn and study things without aim and emphases in various fields perfunctorily。In order to understand this point clearly，let us see an example：In computer industry，the study and production of computer is based on mathematics，physics，even biology。What they need to do is to resist losing in various information without aim and emphases。On the contrary，the responsibility of three disciplines is serving the computer’s study and production。To be a student in university，we are trained to differentiate importance of obligatory subjects and optional subjects。After that，we could choose our career and life confidently。Finally，it is apparent that learning with target in field creates a useful and competent ability。

Overall，universities get responsibilities to educate their students in more than one field ，even there is a long way to go ，in order to make them competent enough in the rapidly developing and changing society。Of course，we are obliged to notice importance of emphasizing on major as well，since the general knowledge works for serving the main subject。
