TOPIC: ISSUE177 - "The study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world. After studying the discipline, we see the same world as before, but with different eyes."

The speaker asserts that after us taking academic discipline our way of perceiving the world will be changed. I admit that the study has somehow changed our way to observe, determine, as well as think about the world, however, it will be too haste to assert that our eyes will be completely different.

After some training of study, our way of observing the world is certainly changed. For example, a painter who has years of painting experience would pay attention to people's body shape and lines at first glance. A physician who spends too much time in thinking about the world will be inclined to solve problem with some physician knowledge. In this case, we can say that the way we perceive the world has been changed because we have the study of some academic discipline.

However, when it comes to the range our academic will not account, we should notice that our academic would not cover all aspects of our life. For example， when a physician comes across with some person, the first reflection will be his instinct reflection ,the same as when he is a child, has no relationship with his own academic training. He may not notice the color the people before him in, or the shape of the person's body. He would not even notice the person's facial conclusion, such as is it a global like a star? So it illustrates that when it is not the people's academic training account, he or she will still perceive the world with the original way.

When it comes to the painter, it may be also the same situation. For example, if a painter comes across with a stemming pipe, what he may think about is not to poke it with his painting pen, but to call the pipe guys .He would not take account to paint his pipe also. So we can see that it is not so necessary for any one who thinks his academic training first. It is always our own instinct reflection that runs the way. Our academic discipline can't count all the things that happen in our life, nor is our world （倒装） just like the described one in all disciplines. Most of the time, our eyes are just the same with the original ourselves who have never been trained.

In sum, we admit that academic discipline is in some extent changing the way we perceiving the world, however, the world we live in is not exactly the world we are taught in books, our discipline can't account all the aspects of our life. So after the discipline, the world may be the same the world as before, and our way we perceive the world is not changed a lot.
