The study of history is trying to recoverthe historic occurences from documents and remains and draw a conclusion fromthese to guide the future. In one side, the study of history helps us to knowbetter about the world and make better decision. It changes many things aroundpeople. In the other side, the study of history gives the evidences that we aredifferent from our ancestors, including the thoughts, behaviors, eating and soon. But the surface different appearances don’t hide the human consistency.Hence, the study of history is not only gives the different appearances betweenthe people in different peroids, but also to point out the link between peoplein one period of time and ancestors or successors.

Firstly, the study of history reallyprovides directly the surface conclusion that people in different times aredifferent, including the thoughts, behavior, and so on. People can learn thatthe life in ancient time from the study of history. Considering the history of trasportaion,it is true that people have to walk from Beijing to Guangzhou for a year inancient time while people can spend 2 or 3 hours to finish the trips by takingairplane nowadays.

As the saying goes, the study of historycan be compared as mirror. Mirror can makes us to dress better, while the studyof history makes us to give better decisions. People ofen draw a lesson orexperience from the study of history, which recover the occurences in the pastfrom finding separate temporal montage. The situation may not totally the samein different times, but the principle changed little. Comparing with thesimilar occurences in history, we can know which the better decision is. Hence,the conclusion within the study of history changes people and the things aroundpeople.

However, these changes can prove that theconsistency between the people in different times. The ancestors make effect onthe successors through the study of history. Upon the study of history, manypeople learn the evolution of us and the experiences in the past. And some thingsof our human being are not change. For example, people are still eager to faceto face contact with each other as the people do in ancient time, although thetechnology changes a lot. In addtion, the study of history guides us to findout the better decision. The reason why we and the things around us looks like differentfrom our ancestors is that the conclusion or the lesson from our ancestors.

In sum, the study of history makes us knowbetter about the past, precent and future, and we looks different from ourancestors and may still different from our successors. But the consistency ofour human being is not change. The study of history appears to be the bridgebetween us and our ancestors and successors.
