As the globalization is booming, it becomes more and more important to learn about foreign countries. There many methods to learn about foreign countries. Among them , I hold the position that the Internet is the best way according my experience. Whereas, we cannot deny that some other beneficial ways to learn about foreign countries , such as newspapers and magazines, also bring us many advantages at same time. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide concrete evidences to support my viewpoint.
To begin with, the amount of information about foreign countries is really plentiful and abundance on the Internet. The Internet provides us with different points of view of foreign countries. And the Internet describes different landscape and information about foreign. For example, you want to learn about New Zealand, and you could read travel notes of New Zealand by web celebrities or by "National Geographic". And you also could enjoy a film of landscape of New Zealand and the kiwi bird. You can admire "God Defend New Zealand" , the national anthem of New Zealand. What's more, there are many courses of The New Zealand Sign Language and you can study the language if you are interesting in it. And I can think of no better illustration of the idea than the obvious fact that the Internet is the best way to learn foreign countries.
Moreover, the refresh rate of information about foreign countries is fast and timely, and the Search Engines on the Internet is so useful that you could get what you want about foreign country easily. It is convenience for us to search the information on the Internet and the information is always up to the minute. For example, type "New Zealand" in the search item, "New Zealand - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" is appear first. If you want learn the history of New Zealand, you can type " the history of New Zealand" in the search item, and you can get it quickly. simple like this!
Admittedly, the Internet has its undeniable demerits. For instance, some people visit a foreign country but it's an unhappy journey. When they are writing on their blog, maybe they will only talk about their prejudice of the country and do not mention the information about which aspect of the country they are fond of. It will bring other people the wrong information about the country. If you have a trip to this foreign country, you will have a new understanding by yourself. Or you could learn through newspapers and magazines, and it could reflect the tastes of the nation and is objective. However, the advantages of the Internet carry more weight than those of travel, newspapers and magazines. The case is rare and too weak to weaken my point.
To sum up, the issue of whether Newspapers and magazines are the best ways to learn about a foreign country is a meaningful but complex one.By both considering the factors discussed above and dissecting other circumstances not even mentioned here, I hold the position that the Internet is the best way to learn about foreign country. |
