can not agree. The two forces are of equal importance.

1.Nodoby can ignore how the headline-making political events have influenced our history. Isn't World War Two a great catastrophe to our world? Isn't the consequent Revolutions in 18th century a great pushing power of modernization?

2.However, seldom-reported social transformations do play as important a role as the grandiose events. People's notion and concepts change with time, which make another aspect of our progress. The understanding of the Black's right, the donation for those who've caught AIDS, etc, have all happened in a slow pace but have made contributions to our civilization.
