Many non native English speakers hold their accent even with pronounciation much different from American, they bring little negative impression. Albert Einstein 's German accent is remarable. British Premier Blair does not change his accent to cater American audience. The most important is to deliver your brilliant  ideas with strong support from facts and examples in good gramme.

Furthermore, maybe few of GTER members can judge or correct your pronounciation and accent. They may be more inclined to listen to decent American voice in their precious time to prepare for the imminent test.
