Topic sport or library

Some people think that schools should play a important role in students’ health building-up, and efforts should be made funds should be spent to provide better facilities for sports in order to encourage the fashion of sports and healthy lifestyle. However, as far as I am concerned, libraries’ importance outweighs much than gyms’. I take this view for the following reasons.

First of all, Library is the place to keep important records and books, which may have influenced the trend of the era, enjoy great celebrity all over the world. In demand of keep these priceless treasures for human beings, preservations such like weekly-cheek, annual overhaul are necessary. And better facility such like fire-resistance book shelves should be perchased.

What’s more, to face the users’ meet of faster searching process and more comfortable environment should be acquired. And a great amount of money is needed to maintain and update the system which preserves the records searching service, and a high-tech internet information
center called into existence will also add to the cost. So you can see, the library needs more money to be managed better and then better served its users.

Last but not least, the library that one university has indicates the academic level that one school has and the performance of its students, that is to say, library is the heart of a school, the major fountain of knowledge and imagination that flourish the land of the campus. For example, I have been to UCLA and the library is just like students’ paradise, the antique wooden floor and quiet and peace atmosphere makes us perfectly calm. There is no doubt that a fascinating library is a symbol of a good university.

Although I think people who support the former idea may have their own standing ground, I confirm that school should rare no energy in building up a good library, which may benefits the school and the students as a whole.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Younger school children (ages five to ten) should be required to study art and music in addition to math, science, history and language.

From my point of view, there should be a general awareness that younger school children should learn art and music besides other subjects. Although it may be considered as fruitless toil by some parents, these courses are called into existence by demand both from students and parents for the acquisition of aesthetic perception. Such phenomenon greatly enhances my thought, and my reasons are as follows.

First of all, I’d like to point out that such class like art and music is functional because it inspires children to use their imaginations in drawing or playing music, which differs from what is called ‘the logical thinking’. Meanwhile, these classes create a bigger possibility for children to achieving their dream of being artists or musicians, though painstaking efforts are still required. Even if they on other careers, easily can these guys, especially who have learned well at art classes, have more constructive ideas or flexible solutions.

Secondly, there is always a great need across the children’s minds for expressing something abstract, what has been proved by a psychologist to be the establishing of the self-awareness and the awareness of the world. From the process, parents are allowed to interpret what their children are thinking and therefore take better care of their kids. Also, don’t you think it amusing that art is going to be a bridge which led parents and children to better communication?

The benefits brought by taking art and music courses being noticeable, some may still disagree this policy in fear of their kids’ draw back in schoolwork. On the contrary, personally, the close between art and other subjects should be increasingly recognized. Art is, in essence, the way you apply knowledge into practice and absorbing tremendous knowledge of all kinds. For example, you can learn some historic events or situation of a certain era from a picture or lyrics of a song, and usually, things you learned with a impact of vision or sound go straight into you long-term memory and rooted in your mind.

All in all, I acknowledge that learning art and music does great help to young students.

The government should require all young adults to perform some kind of national service, such as military service or social work. Do you agree?

It’s obvious that your mother country feeds you and keeps you safe while at the same time you enjoy the high civilization of the society which organizes all parts of department work as one.        In my opinion, it’s always right that young adults should perform some kind of national service, such as military service or social work under the requirement of the government on account of the undeniably significant roll it plays in our life.

To begin with, I’d like to claim the importance of guarding the motherland. There was one Yale  student who sacrificed in the American Civil War said “the only thing I regret is that I have only one life to die for my country.”  For this one, young adults should carry this responsibility to fight for their country. For example , they are obliged to stop the drugs business which cause great health and social problems, and they may become terrorist fighter to keep the public safe.

Secondly, I feel it’s our destiny to fulfill the wish that the society will be better. the basis of social work is just like what the Jackson sang, ”Make it a better place”. To make it a better place for human being needs a great deal of effort made by every generation. With the materialistic world exploding, the altruism should picked up by more people or it will be lost forever.

Furthermore, such work will do great to the young adults who are to enter the society, because they can get more experience in working on social affairs, practice their social skills, and put what they learned in schools into practice. It’s necessary in perfecting their personality. If you pardon my parable, it’s a pursuit of real freedom.

All in all, it’s beneficial to young adults who do some kinds of national service and the nation which receives its return.
