求大家的猛烈批评，第一次参与这样的主题活动，真的很是害羞将我的菜鸟级文章贴出。。 但是还是鼓起了勇气，
我把独立作文贴出（PS独立作文第一次写所以没有限制时间，乱想乱写的），然后综合以附件形式发出吧。

There are varieties of parties containing anniversary, celebration, and family getting together, etc. They can also be classified into two general kinds, big ones and small ones. Some people would like to hold a big party with a great number of people. Others would prefer holding a small party just inviting confidants and relatives. In my point of view, the big parties and small ones both have their advantages and disadvantages. The preference of one of them will vary depending on different environments.

First of all, it is a big challenge and opportunity for me to hold a big party inviting many people from all kinds of areas. I mean that the whole management could greatly improve my management and communication abilities from choosing the place and arranging the party to inviting people and even the celebrities. Meanwhile, I can also exchange my ideas and make many friends with them during this big party. For example, I love fashionable dress. If I invite someone who is designer, he/she could tell me what the most fashionable suit is and how to optimize the style of the clothes now I am in. Besides, it will be fortunate for me to invite a stock broker. Maybe this is the time I could make a great fortune by listening some beneficial ideas and economic information from him/her. Also, It could be possible for me to discuss with some people who share the same interest with me--computer engineering. We could talk about the future of Microsoft, operating system Vista, and even the NASA’s cutting-edge technologies. The examples as such will be numerous, so the big party is a great choice for me to hold sharing ideas with a lot of different attendants.

On the other hand, the big party is always all-consuming. It costs us much more time, finance, and energy to hold such a big party than small ones. Firstly, we have to pay the big capacity of hall or something like that, and reserve a lot of fruit and dishes. What the most important is that the holders must think carefully to pre-arrange and create many exciting interactions with all the attendants in order to high up the party’s atmosphere. That’s really a hard work. I remember one time I held a company’s big party and spent nearly one day to collect the labels with different numbers. I asked every colleague to prepare a gift with a number label. In the party, all the gift labels are randomly mixed in a box, then everyone pick one out of box. You see, then each of them got a gift from the other colleague, they exchanged gifts by luck. Although the activity is very interesting, I spent many time and energy to arrange it due to the large number of people.

To the contrary, the small party is relatively easy and free for us to hold. All we have to do may be just calling our friends and relatives. Sometimes, our inviters will help us to prepare all the dinners and clean the house too, so the pressure of management is less. Besides the small party most frequently the family getting together is informal. Nobody cares about the whole arrangement and innovation of this small party. We come together only for communication and concern about each other. Whereas, holding the small one also has its own disadvantage that it will limit our horizon and prevent us from exchanging more fresh ideas with other people.

In conclusion, it is challenging but consuming for us to hold a big ones while it is convenient but limited for us to hold a small party with familiar people. Whether to hold the big one or the small one will depend the time, finance, and energy. So, the preference will change.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Only movies that can teach us something about real life is worth watching.

Movies can be regarded as entertainment, relaxation, and lesson. We can gain love from the romantic movies, joy from the comedy movies, imagination from the fictional movies, excitement from the adventure movies, and real life experience from documentation ones. So I disagree with the statement that only movies that can teach us something about real life is worth watching.

To begin with, the romantic movies really teach us what the love is and how to love. Take the famous old film—Titanic for example, the leading roles, as we know, Jack and Rose are falling love at the first sight. And they never give up each other even encountering the disaster. I am so touched by this scene. It tells all the people that there is true love and forever love. Don’t lose your confidence in finding someone who is the very person for you. We not only gain the warmth of love from this movie, we also gain the courage to face our emotional life.

Besides, it is beneficial for us to watch some fictional movies. There are novelty, imagination, as well as valuable experience in this kind of movie. For instance, the majority would possibly not miss such an optimistic movie—Forest Gump. Although Forest is a disabled, he makes great efforts in doing everything he participates in and of course he succeeds in everything he struggles. I still remember this famous transcript said by Forest’s mother, “Life is just like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get.” Even this fictional movie does not reflect the exact real life, it shows us something really important in our life. After watching this movie, I gradually find the right life way and the suitable life style in my life.

The last type of movie I am going to state is comedy movies. Nowadays, we are surrounded by troubles and pressures due to the rapid pace of life. If we don’t know how to release our energy even depression, the result will be terrible. As we know, the movies can serves as a relaxation, especially the comedy type. All you have to do is sitting in front of the screen, and always keep laughing. Laughing could definitely help us to relax and relieve the pressure from work and study. What’s more, the comedy can also make us healthier. The evidence is that as far as I know the comedians is almost 10 years average older than who are tragedians.

As these types of movies demonstrated above, besides the real life movies, there are more movie choices for us. Therefore, not only the real life movies can teach us a lot, but the other kinds of movies can endow us love, laughing, and relief.

1215 独立 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for the government to spend money on art museums and concert halls than on recreational facilities such as swimming pools and playgrounds.2

The urbanization is increasing at an incredible speed which means that more and more museums, halls, as well as many facilities are in the construction. This great development will be absolutely almost based on the funding provided by our government. How to finance this capital? Whether spend more in building museums and halls or facilities? All these questions are arising in the front of us. Provided the fact that art museums and concert halls are the indispensable parts of an advance city which will promote the traditions, cultures, and customs, and so forth, the recreational facilities are more crucial in our life, because they are the symbol of the better-being of the citizens, and the standard of a advanced city.

To begin with, it is the real realization of increasing the better-being of citizens to invest in the construction of recreational facilities. As we know, with the fast development of economy, we nearly lost a great number of playgrounds and sport lots because the explosive population combining the settlements. If every community is equipped with this infrastructure facilities, our citizens could gain other opportunity to take the physical exercises which is essential to our health. As a result, this would result in the decline of illness and even the frature for the seniors. What’s more, many retired people could find the right place from them to share their happiness and sadness. Finally, the swimming pool and playgrounds could also serve as the pressure releaser for the young people too. Funding the entertainment facilities is the best way to improve the life of citizens.

Secondly, the quality and amount of recreational facilities are one of the standards of an advanced city. As far as I know, the best and famous city, take the New York for example, although the land there are so expensive, the government also want to sacrifice their money and energy to improve the basic facilities in order to make the city better. Just as the EXPO slogan goes, “The better city, the better life”. This means with the convenient and available facilities especially some recreational facilities, more people will settle there to find better life. With this optimistic tendency, the city will progress largely due to that more and more people will contribute to this city for example, they will pay more tax for the government.

On the other hand, art museums and concert halls are independent. More specifically, they can live on and further develop by themselves. With the money they collected by the art museums visit tickets and concert tickets, they can restore themselves or build more branches all over the world. Besides, there are many other funding origins like private financial aids, charity aids, and other university art departments. So, there is no need for us to worry about their future.

Summarily, it is wise for the government to invest in the building of recreational facilities rather than self-support museums and concerts because the recreational facilities will bring the whole citizen better life and promote the city’s further development.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Observing and studying animals’ behavior are useful for knowing more about humans.

Maybe six thousands years ago, there came up a new living creature—humans in the world. This new organism is highly advanced differentiating the other animals due to the ability of creating and using tools. As a result, humans are distinct from the rest barbaric animals which behave totally instinct and even unconsciously. I concede the animals are our close friends and observing them will be conducive to our biotechnologies but not understanding more about humans. As we all know, the differences between the animals’ and humans’ behavior are the intentions, the self-cognitive, and the courtesy.

Firstly, due to different intentions, the animals and humans behave differently. More detailed, most animals with low intelligence, only take the action to satisfy their basic requirement or just for the survival. Take the chicken for example, which spent most of their time in searching food and peeking on the ground all the day. Another lively example, the giant panda, which is so valuable in China, is preserved in zoo or labs. They will never have a sense of losing freedom or want to make a progress in losing weight while they enjoying wasting time staying in only a limited place without any movements but eating all the day. Excitingly, many animals will show some wonderful performances such as dancing, singing, or even make-up themselves. All of these really look like humans, but their intention is still for survival. They want to attract others only for match. On the other hand, we, human beings will set a longtime goal and consider carefully before doing something. What’s more our intentions about doing the same thing will be so complex and even different from one to another.

Secondly, humans’ behavior will show self-cognitive while the animals’ don’t. It is obvious every person has its own personality and characteristics. They perceive themselves the unique one in the world. Sometimes, they show their confidence in their proficient areas while, sometimes, they will be diffident in doing something they never try. This is because they are able to understand themselves which is called self-cognitive. However, the rude wild animals will never think about themselves. What they are? And how they are different from the other companions? They are so barbaric that they will never have the feel of self-cognitive. There is growing evidence that several years ago, many zoologists states that chimpanzees and a special bird do have self-consciousness. But till now, this statement is subverted there they are just show social behavior in front of mirror.

Finally, humans are highly intelligent, so they behave courteously to others while the animals don’t. Humans will greet each other no matter who is, apologize when making mistakes, and say goodbye to farewell another. It is no surprise that the animals are always aggressive toward others. They are afraid of losing their habitat, supply, and match. Even there is cannibalism in the animal kingdom. For example, immature bigger sharks will eat the smaller ones in order to occupy more space and food in the future. So, as human beings, they recognize these almost out of ethic.

Summarily, it is no use to observe and study animals’ behavior which is ultimately different from the humans’ in the aspects of intention, self-cognitive, as well as courtesy.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The car has a greater influence on our society than the airplane has.

What will you choose as your transportation tool, a car or an airplane? Absolutely, the majority of people would like to choose a car rather an airplane. The simplest reason is that they don’t know how to control a big airplane. As you see, the car is more prevalent and easily manipulated than the airplane. Therefore, I have to admit the statement that the car has a greater influence on our society than the airplane has. More detailed, the car will greatly change our recreational life, job and work efficiency, as well as some adverse impact.

To begin with, the car will vary our traditional recreations by enlarging traveling scope, promoting cultural communication. Several years ago, without car, many people will spend he weekend staying at home watching televisions or playing cards with family members. If they want to travel to other further places, they have to take a train. However, none of them want to spend the valuable spare time just in the train. Nowadays, the urban citizens can enjoy a distant rural scenes by driving their cars while the suburban residents could also spent less time to reach the city center. All of these will be conducive to the promoting of cultural communication. For instance, the suburban settlers without the cars would never have such city life experiences like shopping in malls, having the fast food, and watching the live concert.

Moreover, the car becomes an indispensable part in our daily life. Both the employees and students need to drive cars or take in cars to work places and schools. The vehicles help us save more time and energy spending on the way which will bring benefits to our work and private life. It means we can reach the destination such as companies and institutions on time without missing any important conferences and classes. Take myself for example, it costs me 2 hours to go the school from my home by walking, while if I took the bus, I just spend 20 minutes on the road. Besides, with the time and energy saved, we may have more spare time to concentrate on our private life and interests. So, the car is playing an essential role in our work and study.

On the other hand, the vehicles also bring harms to our society such as exhaust, noisy, and traffic jam. The contamination of the car is so obvious that the air in the city with large amount of cars is less fresh and clean than that in rural areas. The other car pollution is noisy. For instance, I lived besides an avenue which is common in China. I was afflicted by the big noise outside my window for totally one year that I felt deeply mental suffering. The traffic jam is also very serious especially in big cities like New York and Beijing which results in a lot of complaints and irritations.

In total, the airplane is not as available as the cars because of the high price and maintenance fees. Therefore, the car has more beneficial and negative influence on our society than the airplane does particularly in the aspects of our spare time, daily life, and our environment.

“What you are waiting for, this is your best choice!” This is a very familiar advertising slogan in present advertisement. However, do you really need the object they recommended? Is it really the best choice for me? Such questions will vary depend on different persons. Provided the majority of advertisements are so charming which could attract many potential customers by the elegant appearance of the object shown on the screen. But we can hardly judge the quality and feasibility of the product just by our first sight and our hunch. Therefore, I disagree with the quote that commodities can be better by advertising.

First of all, we are getting so sophisticated that we are able to judge the real quality of the commodity by our experience rather than the advertisement. Nowadays, variety of advertisements is penetrating our stuffed life in every possible aspect like the subway station, toilet, skyscrapers, and so on. We can not escape from them, so we only bear them, eventually, we are numb to them. In a result, we no longer trust the advertisements, and we will buy something which has a long-lasting brand or is recommended by our friends. Actually, this method is feasible. It could prevent us from buying something with low quality but shown to be cool in ad.

What’s more, although the commodity advertised on the screen or posts seems to be fantastic and reliable, we would not make our decision to purchase it as quickly as we saw them. More specifically, firstly, we will consider the necessity of the commodity. Then we will compare the product with others’ prize, fame, function and you name it. Finally, it is not the last step to buy it. We will absolutely take other factors of purchasing in to account, such as the service, the method of paying, location of the shop and so on. As you see, the action of consumers’ purchasing is so delicate and complex. It means that advertisements could hardly lead to the better appearance of the products and improve the sales.

On the other hand, a great number of advertisements will mislead consumers. For instance, a famous-brand infant milk ad will show the audience that a happy and healthy baby is enjoying its most wonderful milk meal. After finishing the milk, the baby grows quickly also with high intelligence. However, in fact, this well-known milk powder now is prohibited in China because some unhealthy addictive which result in the infants’ malformation. Besides, many ads are not misguiding themselves but would play a misleading role in some special audience. There are a lot of clothing ads which will attract many teens especially the girls. They are so sensitive to their clothes that these ads would distract their concentration on study and they will spent time and money in pursuing these fashion.

General speaking, the advertisements would promote the products’ propaganda but they can do nothing to improve the better appearance of the commodities.

A growing number of people prefer to spend spare time in watching televisions which is filled up with many kinds of advertisements. As customers, we have no choice but to enjoy these colorful but maybe unreliable ads. On the other hand, the merchants who aim to promote their products are successful to some degree. So, I don’t think the advertising is a waste of time and money just due to customers already know what they want. There are many benefits that the product sale managers can gain from the advertising.

First of all, the rapid progress in the advertising area is the most credible evidence that a dramatically increase of companies are willing to propaganda their products by ads. In today’s fierce competitive market, every merchant want their commodity can be recognized and admitted by customers as quickly as possible which will lead to the most efficiency use of the company financial circulation, so the company could make the greatest profit. Although there is some special companies think them can persuade people to buy their products without ads because of their famous, long-lasting, brand and high quality, they are now gradually getting out of the memory of people. This bad experience is valuable to every company especially newborn ones. Therefore, no matter what of kind of company would like to choose ads to attract more potential customers in order to survive much longer.

Secondly, psychologists reveal some secrets of the ads that customers who are repetitively confronting the same ad would mostly like to buy the product shown in the ad. This is because the subscribers eventually gain a subliminal impression or familiarity about the some repetitive appearance of the same thing positively or passively. For instance, if the people go the supermarket and want to buy some beers, they will absolutely face a lot of brands and may be got confused. But eventually, they will make a quick decision when they see something is familiar for them which they think is with high quality too. You see, the ads play a very important role in the action of purchasing of the customers.

Last but not least, the advertising can promote not only the products of the certain companies but also their reputation. More detailed, there are many wonderful ads including charming superstars and melodious songs but without any appearance of the real products. We nearly can see the brand or their company culture and these will surprising make a deep impression in our minds. What’s more, these ads can also serve as hiring ads to encourage more imaginative and intelligent persons to join in the group.

To sum up, advertising is not a waste of time and money, no matter whether the customers know or don’t know what they want. The ads are very conducive to promotion of the companies’ competence and reputation.
