“If a goal is worthy, the any means taken to attain it is justifiable.”

提纲：
1、        所谓“值得”是个很主观的概念，思考的角度不同得出的结论也不尽相同，因此不能因为从某一个角度看是值得的就不择手段。
2、        个人层面，要权衡付出与回报。例子：安乐死。
3、        社会层面，对个人、组织、国家有价值的不一定是对整个人类社会有价值的。例子：个人为了摆脱贫困而偷窃、美伊战争导致油价上涨。
4、        人是社会中的人，在权衡了自身的利弊后，还要思考是否会对整个社会造成负面影响。

The so-called “worthy” is a subjective conception. Considering in different ways, we will gain different conclusions, so we should not take for something is worthy through only one way, then any means taken to attain it is justifiable.

  On an individual level, before we decide to do something we should contrast the cost with the gain. The cost conclude the time, the money and the energy you will spend, while the gain conclude the production, the reputation and the money you will get hold finally. We will get two complete different results because of the two considering ways, for example, whether the euthanasia, a painless mode to end one’s life, should be used to a patient who could not be cured. To maintain the life of a serious patient need too many resources, such as drugs, doctors, nurses and the equipments in the hospital, but the result is not the one we wished. The resource is limited, so we should treat the patients who have more hope to be healed, instead of waste them. And the euthanasia could also reduce the pain of the patient, the body which cannot move at all and the spirit which is painful because of their hurt relation. However, others may insist that as long as their relation is alive, a huge amount of money is worthy, for they are in the same world at least. More and more countries consider the euthanasia is legal, because they believe it is worthy, although many countries do not accept it.

  On a societal level, worthy to a person, an organization, or a country does not mean worthy to the whole society. For example, a child is poor, and his mother is sick, so he stole commodities from the stores and stole money from the passerby for his mother. Certainly, they need food and money very much, but they could not take to attain it in this way. Such behavior hurt the benefits of others. If everybody achieves their goals through any means they want, the society will be incontrollable. Analogously, a country could consider the worthy in a world wide. For instant, the war between America and Iraq made the price of the oil increase sharply, and many innocence persons die. The affection of the war on the world is greatly beyond the war’s value itself. The economic is effected by the war, such as the raised oil price, the worry of the peace, the raised number of unemployment, and so forth. Thereby, before we do something which is worthy to ourselves, we should consider whether it would hurt other’s benefits.

  A person must live in the society, so after judging the cost and the gain, we should think about whether it would damage majority’s right. In this manner, if a goal is worthy, not any means should be taken to attain it is justifiable.

感觉有些说法不够专业，例如stole commodities from the stores 可否考虑用shoplift来表达？
a child is poor, and his mother is sick 句子过于简单，可以加上一些主观、客观条件嘛！比如周围的人冷漠，无最低生活、医疗保障等等
euthanasia这个例子我觉得很好，可以用在很多题目里，建议好好提炼一下，注意加入人文的气息，尊重患者的意愿
