Do you agree or disagree: Mostpeople prefer others making decision for them than making a decision forthemselves.


In the modern time, there are more and more people we shouldcontact with in our lives. Some people think that most people prefer to askothers around them to make decision for them. I can not deny the fact thatpeople are more likely to resort to others, however, in my opinion, I do notagree with the title statement. People of today are more likely to makedecision for themselves. There are several reasons listed as follows.

Firstly, nowadays, with the development of science andinformation technology, people become more independent to others. If we facewith some difficulties, we can search the solution on the Internet, or readsome books to find the answers. Compared to other people, the internet or booksare more available and reliable. In general, the internet and books are up withthe date, while some people cannot catch the pace with the modern time. Forexample, many youngsters in Chinawould not ask their parents advice when they are going to dating with others,but this was forbidden in the past.

Secondly, in fact, people of today are more likely to collectmore information to help them make the decision, instead of asking the decisiondirectly. If we hesitate about some problems or choice, the best way is to askothers' opinions and then comprise all the advice to make your own decision.The information technology, such the internet, cell phones and other inventionsmake this method more feasible. I can remember my experience in my high school.When I wanted to buy a new computer, but did not know which brand was better, Iresorted to my friends by cell phones and consulted to the internet. At last, Iconsider all the comments of others and make my own decision.

Sometimes, we can not have the chance to resort to others,especially in the urgent condition. For example, when we see a car accidenthappen, the thing we should do first is to call the aid, not to ask others'advice. There is not enough time. In fact, the ability to determine quickly isan essential factor which could help us find a better job. During the job, wewould meet with so many difficulties, in which we can not find others to help.So if we can make the decision by ourselves, we would do better in the job.

Of course, sometimes, some people would prefer others makingdecision for them. However, most people will not. Though they would ask someadvice from others, the final decision is made by themselves.

For example, many youngsters in China would not ask their parents advice when they are going to dating with others, but this was forbidden in the past(这个逻辑也太奇怪了，怎么还是转折的)
