现在仍然感觉无法有效的把中文思想变为英文,只能力保3分了,下面的是issue 136,感觉长句子太少,大家给点意见和解决办法。
“To be or not to be, it is a question”, the world-famous lines in Shakespeare’s drama ‘Hamlet’ voices that we do regularly make choice and the absence of selection is rare. I concede that we are living in a “picking life”. Otherwise, in my view we are sometimes puzzled by the situation that we have no choice and move forward on the only way.
Admittedly, in some cases the solution to problems is multiple and optional. Just as the saying goes "All roads lead to Rome", the individuals may face the annoyance to make a decision from a large sum of possibility at their significant moment. When people graduate from high school, for instance, different choice is made: further study or work, which university or college to go, what kind of career to take part in… Understandably, it is piece of jigsaw that we do in the wandering between one side and another.
Aside from the foregoing proviso, the lack of option also exists, in two respects. First, there are no other parallels and is just a line to the end; and secondly, the solution is alternative while the code pushes the chooser to one side.
First, the fact and even the laws of nature are irresistible to human beings, which give rise to the state that people lose their control of destiny and simply follow the guide. As a result, preference is unavailable. Take living and death as an example. It is known to all that the birth is not only the meaning of a new life, but the way to death. Everyone is eager to be immortal. Eternal life, however, is only mythical or spiritual. With development of medical technology, the lifetime can be lengthened but not infinite. Thus people can only accept the call of Death leisurely and so are they in front of other regular pattern.
Another condition, common in the whole society, shows that personal principle and social standard demand people to do something, which means “have to do” rather than making choice or private preference. Indeed ethics and virtue restrict our behavior. For instance, the native fight against the aggressors when their country is under attack. Someone may question that the resident population can keep silence instead of resistance, which expresses their choice between freedom and restriction. However it is infrequent that the nationality is willing to live in slavery because the pursuit of liberty is our human nature. Since the absence of choice is rare, why do we reach an agreement that a man’s character shape his fortune if a person can control the direction.
To sum up, the speaker’s claim overstates the proportion of the choice in our life, at least to some extent. The public have the right to make their own inclination when they are confused by the equal side. On the contrary, when one of the alternative involves the laws of nature or individual and social responsibility, we may have no choice. |
