It is difficult to say how many students will be admitted each year. There are many variables, the number of students completing their PhD, the funding available and the lab space. This year we had a large number of students, 8 PhD’s; in past years we have averaged approximately 6 students each year. As I am sure you are aware we have many students focused on PK and it is a strength in our department. Our students do not actually choose their concentration until the second year; they will be exposed to all of the research projects and professors during the first year of study.

这是我问了招生主任以后说的。我问他大约每年招多少人，PhD。平均6个/年。我估计申请者不下200人。1：34的录取啊。
还是别的学校也都是这个规模？？

对啊，算上美国人，特别是本科也在buffalo读的那些人申请，感觉大陆的人希望好渺茫啊。

不过buffalo的PKPD确实牛B，他们网站上说好多公司在PhD第3，4年的时候就预定。Jusko每周都能接到向他要学生的电话。

这还是整个药剂系的，第二年才能决定你是不是能去PK组，哭啊~~~~~~~~~

大陆的？很渺茫。。。条件比较好的硕士可以考虑下，本科生就免了吧。

我们系录取一般年年也是这个比例，我所了解的其他学校也差不多吧。但其实美国学生申请的人数很少，大概30来个（毕竟美国读文科的占大多数），如果录取名额5、6个，能录取到4、5个美国学生，那么对于美国学生的录取率还是很高的，但是对于国际学生就是1：100了。所以比你想象中的还要严峻得多！！！
