Brother and sister apprentices' suggestion for us:

You may order Northeast Airline ticket, from Shanghai to Pullman (airport c
ode: PUW--Pullman Moscow Region airport). The cruise is Shanghai----Tokyo---
-Seattle----Pullman. It's probably better to directly fly to Pullman because
if you arrive at Spokane you're still one and half hour's drive from here.
When you buy the ticket, make sure the ticket is "ok" throughout the whole c
ruise.  You're entitled to check it before you pay for it.

As for cooking and bedding, you'd better bring a Chinese knife--"Cai Dao" a
nd "Cai Ban", not too heavy, of course. Other utensils, like pots, kettle, a
nd rice cooker, are not needed, cause you can buy them easily at Wal-Mart. F
or bedding, bring some sheets and a medium sized quilt. It's not very cold i
n winter here since we have heaters everywhere.
Bring relatively more clothes for Spring and Autumn. Though these two season
s are short here, those clothes are the most appropriate to wear most of the
year. Btw, it's not easy to find very good quality and fashioned clothes in
Pullman, you'd better store enough before you come here. Of course, Jeans,
T-shirts and the like are the most common for students.

For residence, those residence hall are among the most expensive places to
live. Most of Chinese students are living in the on- or off- campus apartmen
ts. For girls, on-campus is pretty safe. You can send email to this list to
seek a roommate. Or, as my experience, try to get a roommate among the new s
tudents while you're still in China.

JJMMs, how about rent an apartment together? We have already four people here,
hehe, we can rent two apartments now, who'd like to share one with me? ^_^
