9.22 工作为了快乐还是MONEY？


提纲：
1.money could satisfy our basic needs.

2. 赚的钱能丰富精神生活，让人更快乐。

3.可以先有钱再快乐，但不能先快乐再有钱。


Although it seems that working for money is not a lofty idea, I am still convinced that earning a good salary is the pivotal purpose for having a job.

First and foremost, a job could provide a man with salaries to satisfy his basic needs. In the modern society, you have to find a job to feed yourself, or you will be worried about your subsistence. Food, clothes and accommodations, all these things have to be purchased by money in most conditions. Moreover, it is hard to imagine that a person can get any enjoyment from a job which does not pay him the salary.

Secondly, earning more money could improve one's spiritual life. Some people believe that spiritual pursuing is not relate to the money, such as reading a book or chat with friends, however, enough money could diversify our lives. Nowadays, new recreational activities and technology are invented to enhance people’s living standard, if we do not have enough money, we can not enjoy them. That’s one of the reasons why people change their jobs to get a higher salary and therefore get a more colorful spiritual life.

Last but not least, we can work for money at first and then work for enjoyment. But the reversed steps cannot be suggested. We should realize that money and happiness are not controversial purposes. By contrast, they are interdependent to improve one’s both material and spiritual life.

To sum up, I prefer to work for money than for enjoyment. However, as I said before, I believe that we can have a job which could compromise for the two purposes.
