9.23 把土地给人用是不是比给濒危动物用更重要

Withthe serious degradation of soil, there are less fields that we can take use. Itseems that the field becomes more important than any time in the past. Somepeople claims that all the precious lands should be used to protect theendangered animals in order to keep the balance of ecosystem, which would leadsto the recovery of degraded lands. However, considering the urgent demanding ofland in human society, I would agree with the opinion that we should use thevaluable lands in human beings rather than endangered animals. There areseveral reasons as follows.

Aswe know, during the last century, the population of human beings has increaseddramatically. Some statistical data shows that the population all over theworld in the middle of the last century was 2 billions. But at the end oftwenty century, it had become 6 billions, which had increased twice. As aresult, the demand of house is increasing greatly, especially in the largecities. Owing to the rapid process of modernization, more and more people rushinto the city, where there are not enough houses for them. Then to solve thebasic but urgent problem, we should take many lands to build some houses forresidents, which would help make the society more stable.

Onthe other hand, the development of industries makes the land more precious.Evidently, people should work to support their family and society needs factoriesto advance. Every city is trying to attract more investment to develop thelocal industries. It not only can provide more jobs for residents, but also canhelp increase the revenue of government, which is helpful to build some publicfacilities and improve the economy. In modern time, the industry is the mostessential element in national economy. Considering the remarkable advantage ofindustry and companies, it is better for us to use the land to build morecompanies, though the land is limited.

Inaddition, there are other aspects that human beings should need more lands. Forexample, in China,there are not enough schools to ensure that everyone child has the chance tohave his education. To cultivate more intellects for the country, more schoolsshould be established in the future, which means that more lands are needed.

Ofcourse, we can not deny the importance of protection of endangered animals.They can help us keep the balance of nature, and even improve the environment.And sometimes, they also have large value to research. However, due to theinstant and urgent demanding of human beings for land, lands should be used insome more paramount way, that to satisfy the demand of human beings.
