Is travelling in a group led by a guide the best way to travel?

Travelling is attractive because people can travel to various places of interest, enjoy beautiful scenes, visit historic sites and acquaint different kinds of culture and people. Also,travelers can abandon themselves into a complete leisure environment without any concerns about the daily worry and stress, one of the best way to relax. However, if someone travels in a group led by a guide, the situation may change not so favorable, with a number of troubles accompanying.

In the first place , the freedom and individual choice may be limited when travelling in a group. As a tourist group usually consists a lot of people, individual request and needs can not be satisfied with every single person. The travelling route is always sheduled by the guide. Thus if someone wants to visit some places of interest where the group does not plan to go, he has to sacreifice his own interets and keep travelling with the group and visiting other places which he may do not want to go at all. On the other hand , schedule of the travelling is also fixed formerly. The guide arrange the time how long they spend in each sites, and nobody could spend an extra time in his favorable places.

With the route and time fixed , travelling may lose much of its perspective fascination. The plans to visit the desirable places can not be realized , for tourists have to travel together. Opportunities of enjoy charming sceneries alone in a tranquil circumstance is beyond the reach because the voice of talking of the other group members will be always around. The intent to get relaxed in a comparative leisure situation from the daily stress aslo becomes luxury when tourists find that limition and restriction also occupy a position in the group. In a word , travelling in a group will blend the wonderful tour with all kinds of unexpected troubles, making the travel not so charming.

Travelling in a group ,however, also has its advantages. For example, it is more safe to travel in a group. The expense will also be reduced. But, in my opinion , these advantages are gotten at the cost of the pleasure and enjoyment of the tour, which is not worth it. So , I insist that travelling in a group not be the best way to travel.
