We have limited life, so we have to allot our time reasonably. How long will we spend in our office and when will we sit in the couch with our families? The decision is closely related to our society and age. I believe that we tend to have more free time as the times progress and society advances. I have two reasons to support my opinion.

First of all, as the economic booms and new technology invented,
the income of the whole society rise significantly, which will bring more leisure time as a result. According to the Economic Theory, the increasing income will bring decreasing desire to spend time in working when the income reached a certain amount. Under the high rate of pay, people have gained enough money to fulfill the most of his demands and more money can’t improve his satisfaction，so he would rather get less payment to separate time to accompany his families and do exercise to relax himself. The data form National Bureau of Statistic of China says that the average hour of people whose rate of pay is 200 Yuan per hour is less than the ones whose rate of pay is 50 Yuan per hour.

Secondly, the big changes in people’s concept also dues to more relax. About decades of years ago, the whole society advocated money and judged a person according to how much possessions he had. Thus people at that age had great pressure to gain money not only for gaining bread, but also for winning his social status. However, with the better social welfare system and ensure of the basic demands nowadays people lay more stress on the sense of wellbeing. For example, my grandfather used to be a workaholic who worked over time all the year round. He thought if a person didn’t have a job and make any progress in his career, his life in not complete. Nevertheless I don’t agree with him at all. I argue that job is just a way to taste life. In contrast, we should have more leisure time to experience colorful life, especially take more care of our families.


In conclusion, I hold the opinion that people in current and future society will arrange more leisure time for themselves since their desire to decreasing working hours and different concept.
