I am far from a cinephile, or even, I can hardly describe myself as a film fan. Words--however printed or digital--suit my palate more than videos---however photographical or algorithmical. Yet it does not mean that those floating images bother me, rather, I choose words because sometimes I 'see' more vivid and touching scenes and images within. Surely there're some that I prefer watching to reading--all depends on which option brings more enjoyment. The type of forms, in fact, matters less as much than the emotion the contents arouse in me and the picture it creates in my head. 

So I guess this goes the same for photographical or digital films. Barely one enters the cinema, seats himself and, instead of enjoying the story, scrutinize digital or 'fake' spots. He might more likely to say, "give me good time, and all is OK. " And that's the consensus of film makers, too. 

Therefore frankly, I don't concern much about the 'film is dead' issue: we will always have good things to watch, so just let alone those distant theoretical dispute. And for those traditional-film lovers, though old golden age have been far away, there is not without light: perhaps one day, they will find that despite the high-tech and digital design, the theme of the most brilliant movies, however, will always remains the same.

"We all live in the gutter," yes I know the next words, promising and beautiful, yet this line alone have been heavy enough. I'd like to read essays delving human's heart, exploring the inner universe, finding out the silent galaxy singing within; this sometimes feels like touching the eternal and escaping the mundane. Yet simply too often the gravity drags me down, with the pale face and dim lights flickering  in the murky, reminding that here's still earth: enoumous, inextricable, right in the gutter.

That didn't upset me, however, once I read sth from Hemingway that every man and woman, whatever the appearance, the work, the status, holds a fire within--implicit and deeply hidden may it be, there it is. This solid conviction contains so much warmth and enthusiasm that readers see his love and vigor for human and life bursted out. 

Here again comes Zhou, a man who holds as the same the loving thoughts yet more peaceful and tranquil. Rightness and Gain, a little inopportune may it be for current tides, persistently stands within mind of those who concern more beyond the before eyes......

This essay is so interesting that while reading, I felt the fluid of thoughts flooding into my mind. A sense of pre-destiny was aroused to some extend indeed, though, as an atheist I'd like to do delve more, to analyze, to deconstruct.


Here I'd like to define 'the atheist' in my point of view: they do not believe in gods but rules; they do not trust an almighty spirit that intervenes and controls, instead, they may admit the presence of certain universal force but such force does not interfere intentedly the living.

The author of this essay, on the other hand, apparently believed in God strongly and wanted to persuade others the eternity and omniscience of God. Here he provided almost an argument, organized in a logical(at least in structure) way.

His first contention concerned about the eternity of God. Comparing two kinds of everlasting states (one was when time flew as normal, which made us can know only a fraction of the time river; the other was when the time and universe merged into one integral object and the time ceased to flow but appeared as a whole), he proposed that the God presented in the latter way, that is, all time came at one time. This enables the divine to gain a perfect knowlege--to know every process, every detail, every past, every future and most important, every consequences. This contention serves as the basis for the next argument.

Then comes the essential point, a puzzle that baffled the adherent as well as the non-believer: Could God predict our behavior, our judgment, our intention,i.e., our personal feeling, or would he change our mind in order to fit the future he foresaw before? 

The author said "no", and his explanation is quite fascinating. The key, as he wrote( and if I understood it right), lay in the fact that God was eternity and that he could see all at once: all he needed to do was to see. That was beyond prediction; that was conviction. Therefore whatever the emotions, thoughts, changes one might experience, God saw the presence and consequence. 

The author seemed to (in my opinion) assume God's main role was to witness. For he needed to see only, he did not need to change people. 

This essay is very convincing and compelling when the reader believes in God, or even, as me, when he does not believe in. Yet inevitably comes another question: if God serves only as witness, why we need him? For human, knowing the possible future does not tantamount to have that future. There might be some relief, though, the real future awaits to be created instead of listened. The author may persuade me of the omnipresence and omniscience of God, but he did not tell me why I should care it.

The super-confident, gungho leader, that was once their calling card, has fallen out of fashion.

We field（使上场） the demand from the real world to develop research which can actually address the real problems of business. This will probably affect the profile of professors. Not only must they be solid in terms of their research skills and teaching skills, they should also be able to interface with（连接、协调） the top management.

You need the right kind of probing mindset when you attack problems of such complexity because no one could have ever seen the combination of factors before.

My main takeaway was not that it was an ethics problem, not that people were cheating overtly, it is that people were using the wrong mental attitude when they approached extremely complex problems that they hadn't seen before. 有道理。Practice can hypnotise（使催眠、恍惚） you into using old models and old ways of thinking. 这句话很好用！

It's not the person that charges ahead（冲锋在前）and rallies the troops（集结军队）. It's more of a person that is sensitive to the situation and to themselves.审时度势。

It is not charismatic leadership, but teamwork.

History is very recurrent and we are attending again a move of the pendulum.

COMMENT

Money and power always co-exist. They support, conform or administrate one another, especially when critical times come. As Mr Santiago mentioned, there comes a more flexible and reflective time when the collaboration of business and government are accepted not as a rude and malign intervention but the exigent endeavor. (Well, I admit that I feel a little bit ironic and interesting upon such swiftly transformed attitude and the saying,"only China can save the capitalism".) Business students are required to learn more on balancing the tricky scale between the regulator and the arm-length market, so too those ministers. Spain’s IE Business school, according to Mr Santiago, launched corresponding courses already, but it marks only the beginning of the story.

Another topic that have caught me is that both the two dean showed strong inclination of preparing and rebuilding the apt attitude, in Mr Danos's words, probing mindset, of students. This emphasis stemed from the doubt on current turbulence, on the false judgment incumbent entrepreneurs have made, and on the misleading method they are employing now. Mr Dano particularly mentioned the skeptical mind, which is essential in the field of economy. This hints me the importance of doubt and questioning: they pervade every area as long as the change and complexity exist.

The third that I concerned in this article is the changing image of leadership. The era of personal cult has gone; teamwork and cooperative spirit has been highlightened. This applies not only in financial world but almost every field and work. A little bit sorry may it be to lose potential extremely radiant and charismatic leader, it assures the abandon of extreme wrong and the attendance of each person in the group.

手头很多东西都没看呢，几本AW的参考书，北美也没有翻过，阿狗的进一步分析也没有，issue刚刚开始看……撞墙……
不过最近心情好，果然是正在loop upwards么~好罢，抱着享受的心态以搜集素材之名看看杂书，额，也挺不错的。

我是3月初的作文，现在应该是进入备考的阶段，前几个月一直在啃红宝书，这两天才进入作文的实质性准备。个人感觉到了备考阶段还是最好有目的的看issue 和argument的题库，做习作，反复修改。其他一些东西应该服务于作文（持续背红宝书例外）这是我的一些拙见，还请大牛们指正并提出更有效的方案 168# pluka

今天的COMMENT 很短

Well, this article is kinda plain but this issue is worthy of thinking. Why we are consistently fascinated by the notion outer space? Partly because of the demand of massive migration and exploration into the universe, as some people suggest, but I deem it more instinctive--nature, spontaneous and inextricable. We human want the eternal; we hope for the ultimate. And ironically, people are fearful of the unknown. Recall those scientific fictions and movies depicting the disaster brought by a falling meteorite or invasion of ugly aliens, and you see the fear inside. Maybe implicitly in heart, we are waiting for the final judgment, expecting the day when God and Satan reveal themselves, who knows? 

Anyhow, the space odyssey lauched our dreams. Following the wind! See what the tomorrow will bring us.

Her goal of complete marital introspection — needed or otherwise — inspired heated holiday-party conversations and terror at the thought of the memoir to follow, as well as giving single women everywhere a new appreciation of their unburdened ring fingers.

Bluntly I did not get the point; I tried to manage to be interested or concentrate, but failed. And...seems those books do not suit my palate, it's even harder to figure out what they are talking.
Well, yes, marriage is a big issue. Humm, yet since I haven't got any first-hand experience(= = yep I'm telling cold joke) and have no intend to experience before hand through reading, those ambivalence for me is but trivia and alien ideas......no offend. Sigh, nothing to say.
