几个网上看见的推荐信模版

都不是很完美的模版，不过大概样子都在那里了。我觉得中国申请者在做ps和rl的时候经常面临的一种误导性思维就是担心审材料的人会不会发现自己的ps和rl是一个人写的，然后因此拒掉自己。我个人感觉这种担心其实不是太必要，理由有二：（1）审材料的人看你的材料的时间和高考老师判作文差不多，所以一个是不认识的人写的推荐信基本不看，一个是即使看了也不会仔细辨别写作风格，然后花很多时间寻找推荐信是你自己写的的证据；（2）其实模版这个东西不光我们用，国内老师用，其实美国大部分老师应该也都用，用个人化的笔触写个人化的推荐信的事不是没有，但应该局限于个别的牛老师对个别的及其出类拔萃的学生。至少我得到过的美国老师和从北美接受教育的中国老师写的推荐信都是从他们自己的模版改来的，我知道的一些老外同学的推荐信好像也是即使没有模版，也有固定的格式。

所以我的建议就是，ps要写得比较有个性，但rl可以基本比照托福和gre作文，只要别和一篇范文百分之百雷同就好了，但多看一些模版，并且从每个里面学习一个精炼句型应该是没事的。下面是模版：

1。
It gives me great pleasure to recommend ________________ for admission to graduate school.
__________________ was my lab assistant for three semesters, and distinguished herself with her natural curiosity, attention to detail and near-encyclopedic knowledge of her field of study.
She excels in a classroom setting as well, earning a 3.7 grade point average while taking a full course load even as she worked 20 hours a week in the lab. In fact, several times I stopped by the lab after hours only to find that after her shift ended, she stayed on to work on her own independent research projects.
______________ is modest, but her talents are well known among faculty and students. Her peers routinely go to her for help with their projects, and she is always happy to help. Thanks, turkeyk. However, if everyone writes this way, the admission committee might be overwhelmed by obliging saints and exceptional geniuses. I might be arrogant by some standard, but compared with these applicants, I am so humble....

to ls：我觉得即使是牛人，要写出非常出彩的ps，基本也要花写半个paper的时间，这个对牛人的性价比并不高。所以牛人应该也没有动机在格式和修辞上做得很outstanding吧，committee的人毕竟是比较现实的，也许本科还会看看文采，phd应该还是以平凡的格式中表现的扎实背景为主。:)
