Law making is always a tough issue, and maybe no legal system is perfect up to now. However, the statement that each individual should obey just laws, as well as disobey and resist unjust laws is not a good suggestion. As we cannot clearly classify the just and unjust laws, and even there is an agreement about the standard to clarify the two kinds of laws, there is still a problem about how to disobey the unjust laws.

Admittedly, theoretically speaking, it is reasonable that the just laws should be obeyed and the unjust ones should be resisted. As justice is always the common goal of humans from generation to generation. Only living in a just circumstance and having the same rights and responsibilities, can people enjoy themselves in the society and dedicate to work and study.

However, the suggestion is still unfeasible. The first and most important problem is how to identify the laws are just or unjust? To be honest, there are rare absolutely fair laws in every society, as there are different classes with different interests. Somebody may argue that the laws are usually made by those in upper classes. That is a fact, but not the sticking point. On the one hand, the legal commissions consist of people from different classes in order to meet the needs of the other classes. And on the other hand, even the so-called unfair laws are replaced by those made by the under classes, whether the rich will think it is fair for them to devote all their money to the homeless? Then just new unfair laws appear. Conversely speaking, the main function of laws is to restrict the people’s behaviors, is there is common recognized fairness in laws, of course the legal commission would make a change of it. So as long as different classes exist in the society, the problem of legal fairness cannot be solved.

In addition, the statement of the speaker leads us to another controversial topic about whether we should disobey those unjust laws, and how we resist them. No doubt that it is very dangerous to commit crimes in the name of searching for justice and eliminating injustice. If this is the case, the resisting movement will lead the whole society into a very disordered situation.

To conclude, as no one can give us a clear identification about just and unjust laws, the suggestion cannot be taken. If we follow this advice, maybe we will have to go on disobey the new laws as there are still somebody regard the laws unfair. This will lead the society into anarchic situation.
