题目：ISSUE203 - "The best way to understand the character of a society is to examine the character of the men and women that the society chooses as its heroes or its heroines."

  The author asserts that examining the character of the men and women that the society chooses as it heroes or heronies is the best way to understand the character of a society. In my point of view, examining the heroes and heronies' character is actually the best way to understand the character of a society.
  To begin with, heroes and heroines that the society chooses has a typical character in a society, which can reflect the character of the society. We can know more about a society through examining the heroes and heronies' character. For example, Jackie Chan is regarded as the action hero in the realm of action movies. He is warm-hearted and always would like to contribute to some public activities. From what he has done and his movie, an increasing number of people get acknowledged about Chinese Kungfu and Chinese society.
  Secondly, heroes and heroines are usually the ideal image of the public in a society, which shows the value and merit standard of the society which ordinary cannot achieve.In some fiction movies, there are many heroes who are incredible and do alomost everything which ordinary people cannot finish. Take Superman for instance, he was so brave and capable to help people out of big troubles. Meanwhile, he helped the society to fight with crimes and brought peace to the society. Why there are so many heroes in fiction movies? One reason is that our society really need this kind of heroes.
  In addition, heroes and heroines meet the needs of the society and bring about favorable impacts on the society. Liu Xiang, a Chinese guy who won the Champion in 28th Olympics is regareded as a hero because he is the first Chinese who can be the hurdle winner.
  From what has been discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that  heroes and heronies play essential roles in the society, we should place more emphases on the influence of heroes and heronies in a society. Meanwhile because of the essential roles which heroes and heronies play in a society, we need to place more concern on choosing the approprite heroes and heronies to promote the development of the society.
