People are mistaken when they assume that the problems they confront are more complex and challenging than the problems faced by their predecessors. This illusion is eventually dispelled with increased knowledge and experience.
提纲：
1：有些问题，不管是前人们研究如何钻木取火，或者是住房子，煮熟食物，还是当今的能源，人口，环境问题，本质上都是关于人类生存的问题，只是在不同的时期不同的存在方式，针对人类意识形态的不断提升，难度增大，形式多样，但是随着不同时期人类知识的储备量、科技运用的能力的提升，决定了这些问题针对不同时期的人类，难度都是一样相当巨大的，地位也是最基本的。
2：但是随着科技的发展，当今人类面临的问题，确实更充满不确定性，与复杂性，很多问题甚至威胁到我们生存环境是否存在（核武器合理运用，温室效应）这些都是前人没有碰触到，甚至我们当前解决的很多问题使他们遗留下来的，（为了加速当时科技进步，人类生活环境改善），这些积累的问题，随着时间的发展，引起了质变，从而造成了我们当今社会生存环境的危险系数高于之前。我们需要处理的问题也比以前更复杂。
3：知识和经验的增长，有助于我们正确认识自己面临的问题，寻求高效有效的手段去解决。但是正是我们经验与知识的增长，让我们在解决问题的过程中，充分全面思考这个问题解决方法，后果（不能以制造其他的问题为手段来解决当前的问题）。反而使问题更加复杂。
4：不能简单的与前人问题难度的比较来衡量当今面临的问题，其次结合当代社会的环境与技术水平，综合估计，合理解决。

  Since history moves on, changes have taken place in technology, living condition, surroundings and so on; it is out of question that problems also altered. However, is it a matter of fact that problems we face are more complex and challenging than what our predecessors met before? Some people hold such a view and they even believe that it can be effaced with the accumulation of knowledge and experience. However, in my point of view, we should take a comprehensive look on such an issue.
  Some questions, from our predecessors learn to make fire, build a shelter, cook a meal to the environmental threats, resources shortage, and population explosion we confront today, all can be concluded as our living problems, so there is no meaning at all to argue which one is more complex or challenging. How the problems endowed to us are decided by the amount of knowledge and technology we hold, since we develop from one generation to another, changes are inevitable. If you say that complexity is referred to the forms of the problems, then I totally agree that making fire or constructing a house is just a piece of cake for us now. However, when we talk about how difficult the problems are, we should make them accordant with people at different time. Actually, all the basic problems we face at different periods of time are all related to the living of human beings. They occupy the same importance as well as complexity from the past to now.
  However, since our technology has risen to a totally other stage compared with our predecessors, some problems are deemed to be more challenging, and with the contribution of our ancestors, actually, some even threat our earth to a certain degree. The Copenhagen Consensus Conference convened just before is aimed at solving the problem of greenhouse effect, which is accumulated by generations of our predecessors, ever since the Industrial Revolution. It is a common sense that quantity can cause a qualitative change, when we apply this philosophy discipline into this issue, we can see that we are faced a rather big trouble that can not be easily solved. While once we can not tackle it well, our tomorrow is dim. In addition, how to rationally use our nuclear power is also a problem that can not be evaded. Ever since we invent it during the Second World War, it has always been a threat. So it is not difficult to figure out that some problems we face today are deeper compared with how we live, they have expanded to how we live better and continually so that we may leave an equally perfect earth to our offspring. They have become deeper and more complicated.
  Some people believe that this so-called illusion can be dispelled with increased knowledge and experience; however I can not stand by his side. With the accumulation of our knowledge and experience, when we look on the problem, we can be more mature and comprehensive. For instance, we will not hold that stupid opinion that clear-cutting is favorable to our living, or that we can just make us comfortable with air conditioners and refrigerators while ignoring the ozone depletion. In fact, when we know more, we will see better and more comprehensive, which decided that when we tackle problems, we will not easily fix them without considering whether our method will cause serious effects and so on. And it makes problem more complex in practice.
  By and large, when we measure the problems we face today, we can not easily compare them with those our predecessors ever met, we should first convince ourselves that days change and technology is different. We should put this issue apart and discuss it all-sided. At the same time, only judging whether the problem is more complex or not does not help to solve the problems we face. In order to better settle our troubles, we can mirror our predecessor's wisdom as well as combine our present knowledge. And I believe that with the increasing of our knowledge and experience, although we make troubles more troublesome, we tackle them more perfect as well.
