“Scandals----whether in politics, academia, or other areas----can be useful. They focus our attention on problems in ways that no speaker or reformer ever could.”
丑闻----无论是政治、学术还是其他领域-----可能会是有用的。丑闻可以用演说家或者改革家无法使用的手段让我们注意到某些问题。
提纲：观点：丑闻有益，但是过多会有副作用，需要限制。
1.丑闻揭示社会一些社会现象和存在的一些问题，可以促进社会改革
2，但是对丑闻的大幅度报道使人们忽略了一些重大问题
3。丑闻过多的暴露了一些社会问题，使得产生很坏的影响
4.丑闻的层出不穷使得很多亟待解决的问题无法解决
The speaker asserts that scandals attract our attention on something unsolved in ways that speaker or reformer hardly could. I concede the assertion that scandals can be useful. However, too many scandals may be counterproductive, which our society should make some abstention on them.
Of course, scandals reveal some social dark aspects and problems that exist in our daily life. To heal the wounds scandals show, government makes the revolution to change the embarrassing situations. And in some extend ,it solves a lot of troubles. For example, to the matter of bribe and tax dodging and evasion, the government makes laws to forbid the worse effect. As a result , the amount of such things decreased a lot.
However, the exaggerate report of the social scandals distracts people’s attention on something special and important, such as some national meetings or the disasters happened recently. Too much emphasis on the scandals is insignificant, which wastes our energy and time we could devote to something useful.
In addition, scandals cause disadvantages effect to the world. People have begun to suspect the so-called democracy election of American since the Watergate Case. The news in relation to the addition in the milk damaged the healthy images of the food company. What is worse, scandals harm the teenagers who esteem some public persons. The superstar involved in the drugs addiction not only let the public figure damaged a lot , what he or she did is also copied by the younger fans.
Further more, the waves of scandals are step by step when many matters are waiting to be addressed. The media move their work point to the search for the boring and useless scandals just to satisfy the taste of common people. If our society is trapped over the endless scandals, the pace of changing will be slowed down and the human-being’s culture may be ruined.
To sum up, we should regard the scandals in the correct way and let the contribution they make to the maximum.
