在TM昨天就看到有人拿了录取，今天就在睡觉前等了一会。终于等来了录取，虽然没有奖学金，但还是挺欣慰。

I am pleased to inform you that you have been recommended for admission to the Ph.D. program in Economics for the Fall 2010 semester. If the Graduate Admission office concurs with our decision, they will be in touch with you shortly.  In response to your request to be considered for financial aid for the academic year 2010-2011, I am sorry to inform you that it is not possible for the Graduate Program in Economics to offer you any financial aid.

Unfortunately, admissions was very competitive this year and we were not able to offer aid to many qualified applicants. We also have a very limited amount of financial aid for entering students. FYI:  We do not have any research assistantships or tuition waivers available. However once you are in the program and pass the qualifying examinations and are in good standing, you can apply for a teaching assistantship.

These are awarded to continuing students on a merit basis for up to three years.  We hope you will be able to find funding and join us for Fall 2010.

211，985 小本大四，金融专业，G：650+800+4.5，T：105，Rank 1/21, GPA: 89 for the all, 90.25 for the core. 有个数学二学位，上的数学课多且成绩不错，包括实变和泛函，随机过程，概率统计，高等数学，数值分析，运筹学，线性代数，常微分方程，数学建模。有两封国外老师的推荐信。没有paper, 没有RA，只有自己一点independent research.
研究兴趣：macro/finance, asset pricing
弱点：没有中级宏微观的课，虽自学过。且计量分只有80.

offer也会有的。

1.学术本来就是靠天分的事情，你不能因为进入门槛低就哭着嚷着要一辈子不出去。献身的有烈士也有炮灰。其实我们都知道哪种更多。
以大多数人的努力程度还到不了谈天分的程度，然后呢？你继续努力结果到了谈天分的程度，发现确实不行，最后你或者接着催眠自己或者外出催眠别人？
2.当然某年某月的某一天，你终于意识到自己错了，千万别扭头骂街或说世界变糟糕了就业变差了。是你而不是这个世界错了哦。该。
好paper才是硬通货，别的最多也只能算冥币，有人爱自己画有人想挣钱后买着玩儿。
3.一边喊着言论自由，一边又哭着要对方说得温柔
