Can the art actually reveal the ideals and impulses which hide in other aspects as well to the society? I fundamentally support the speaker’s assertion since art reflects a myriad of sides which may be less evident in the usual event. However, the view of the speaker interferes with the trouble of the exaggerate breath of the art that other types of element existed in the surroundings are impacting and showing the seminal things.
Firstly, I concede that art is a true reflection to the society indeed, which the feedback explosive the controversial matters. The ambivalence art revealed causes a series of revolution ,more often than not, contributes to the change of the society as well as the beings as human. Consider, for example, the canonical novel“Uncle Tom’s cabin” which is written by Mrs Stowe , exhibits the drawbacks of the racial discrimination in the 18th century and the details in the novel seems so true and miserable to give a plot of the cruelty of the slavery in the United States. Hard to imagine, just this woman writer and her work moves the Arabaham Lincoln to inspire thousands of fighters to pursuit the equality and freedom for the country they love. In that case, the art plays a cardinal role to appeal the reforms to the social matters.
Further more, the state of the human invaluable spirits become the core of the art as the cargo of the spiritual and soul communication, which in some extend integrated the contemporary physical and mental cultures in different areas, such as the skyscrapers, the buildings which may be found in Western countries as well as in some ancient nations like Egypt to cater the necessity of the large-scale socialized production. The function of the art provide the necessary impetus for the marching of our world.
However, other types of things amount to the influence that art makes, which stimulate the social impulse as the catalyst. For instance, the religion constom and faith serves similar position as the art does, and the religion not only reveals the emotional hidden ideals which the social admire at that time, but also make up the asylum as the spiritual reliance to create a better and idiol world, such impulses thrives social development and send people’s benison for the homeland.
In sum, the speaker’s broad assertion correctly points out the function of the art, but the opinion begs some dimension of the art. We cannot deny the art’s contribution, however, we should not overlook something in otherwise types providing the engine for the steps of society forward.
