正文:
The most significant events and trends in history is a very important aspect for us to learn the history. As we can see, nowadays, many books record the history by these typical events and trends frequently. However, in these books, we always pay much attention to the luminary in these events rather than the common people who also made of history. I do agree that the vital events and trends in history should not only be made by famous few, but also participated by the group of common people. They should have the same place in the history.
Firstly, we could not deny that the famous people play an important role in the history. They always are as a leader in significant event and trends. They have excellent leadership which can help the disruption of power from others. And finally, they help the society go forward more quickly. For example, most of us have read the story of Martin Luther King, a famous leader of African- American civil rights movement, seeking freedom and rights for black people in America. We are familiar with his famous speech-I have a dream-expressing the voice of black people in those days in America. And he leaded the black people with nonviolence form to fight for equal status as the white man. In 1955, he leaded the black man to boycott the bus for 382 days. Finally, the On December 21, 1956, after the Supreme Court of the United States had declared unconstitutional the laws requiring segregation on buses, Negroes and whites rode the buses as equals. During these days of boycott, King was arrested, his home was bombed, he was subjected to personal abuse, but at the same time he emerged as a Negro leader of the first rank. So we can say that the great figures played in the making of history indeed.
In addition, if the great people without the help from common people, they can hardly success. These people participated in the concernful events and played an important part as well. As we know, Napoléon Bonaparte is a famous militarist of France. He leaded his army to win many important battles and built the important status for France. However, no matter how excellent the ability of Napoléon, without the help from his subjects, he could not reach his goal. An The Fight for Moscow also sever as a typical example to prove that the common people played an important part in protecting the country. So if we neglect the places of the forgotten people, how can we understand the history comprehensively?
In sum, making the history is not only by luminary people, but also by groups of people. We can not ignore the voices from these people. Their voices help us to understand more comprehensive of the history. It is said that the history like a mirror which can reflect the weakness and shortage of our society and told us how should we construct better society. In these days, we should do more works to let us hear the voices of the forgotten majority. |
