唔唔...ISSUE是个大难题啊...

The author believes that we can know about a society only by observing their looking likes and the ways they do things because people's look, dress and behavior can reveal their preference and hobby. However, people's look, dress and even behavior are only surface things they intend to do, not their true thoughts. So, from my perspective of view, we cannot know much more about one’s idea and value, which is deeper in his thought, by people's appearance and behavior, so that we cannot know more about a society.

First of all, dressing sometimes is limited when people decide on wearing which clothing. Some people have to wear uniform to work or to schools and the dress become a symbol of his or her position, not anything else. But actually, we cannot tell what the difference is among a lot of people who wear the same clothes. They may hold a total opposite opinion about life and the world. In addition, even though some people can choose whatever they like to wear, but in general, if they are going to work, they should dress up in formal, no matter how she wants to wear something comfortable, such as T-shirts and jeans. So, how people dress is not their attitude and choice.

Also, the way people act is even more misleading than their dress. When people are smiling, his or her brain may be really angry. When people are crying, his or her heart may be pretty happy. In one word, people always like to camouflage themselves for different purposes. Maybe they want to hind some truths, or they want to be polite, instead of a quarrel. On the other hand, we cannot know about one's interest by observing his act. Under the complicated circumstance, people have to do something they dislike, and they often pretend to be really happy to do so. In fact, most people are doing things in a reluctant way. So, how people act is only because they have no choice, and we can know nothing about it.

As for the ideas and values of a society, it is not that simple. A society's ideas can be seen from its government, sometimes, the government can stand for most people's thoughts, and this is the reason why they can be people's leaders. Their policy represents people's wants so that the policy can be brought out. Otherwise, it won't be putted out before accepting by most people. As for a whole nation, they must all want to build their country better so their values are almost the same. But their appearance cannot tell us anything. We need to analyze deeply people's decision and should know the true reason why they choose by communication. We know more about people's true thoughts, and we can learn more about the society.

To sum, people's appearance and behavior is the thing on the surface. Mostly, what we can see from them is false. We should observe them deeper in their true thoughts and also communicate with them, and then we can know about the society.

To sum, people's appearance and behavior is the thing on the surface. Mostly, what we can see from them is false. We should observe them deeper in their true thoughts and also communicate【貌似正文没有关于这个问题的讨论】 with them, and then we can know about the society.

后记：看完你的文章我说一下我对这道题目的理解，虽然我之前也没有看过，不知道我理解得对不对。首先我觉得这是一个1+1的题目。先说是否look，dress and act能够reveal attitude and interests。然后说人们的外表和行为可以体现社会的ideas and values。其实我觉得前后两个问题之间的联系就在那个关键词上，look和dress其实就是对应appearance的，然后act就是对应 behavior的。

根据你的文章我觉得你的思路可能是body1和body2是说明第一个问题的，body3是说明第二个问题的。对于第一个问题，你好像忘了说look了，因为你的body1说的是dressing， 然后body2说的是act，然后body3 的意思好像不是很清楚，逻辑思路还要再调整一下。
