On the whole, the professor in the lecture totally disagrees with the view made in the reading that the Portrait of an Elderly Woman in a White Bonnet was not painted by Rembrandit.

First of all, the professor states that the color of this painting was not original. In order to increase the value of this painting, some people changed the color of the painting to  make the woman look more formal. However, this point is not mentioned in the reading material, which states that the inconsistency of the cloths that the woman is wearing reveals that this painting is not Rembrandit's work.

Second, it is true that the light and shadow do not fit in this painting, which is put forward in the reading. However, the professor has a quite different opinion with that in the reading material. He argues that the original light and shadow is realistic just we expect in Rembrandit's work. He explains that if the color in the surface is removed, the original color reflects the light illuminated in the face, and it is fit with the shadow.

Finally, in the reading, the author believes that because the painting was painted on a panel made of more than one pieces of wood, which was not Rembrant's tradition, this painting was not painted by him. On the other hand, the professor says that the painting had been changed by others in order to make it  more grand and more valuable. Actually, the professor states, that the orginal painting was on a single piece of wood. And in addition, the wood panel of this painting came from the same tree as that used for another painting by Rembrandit.

Generally, the professor challenges the point of view that the dinosaurs are endotherms, which is illustrated in the reading material.

First of all, the author in the reading material says that the discovery of dinosaur fossils in the polar regions indicates they are endotherms. However, the professor argues that this discovery does not prove the dinosaurs are endotherms. For one thing, at that time, the polar regions were much warmer than those in today and dinosaurs could live there even they were not endotherms. In addition, the professor also points out that the polar dinosaurs were adapt to the cold place and could not migrate to warmer areas.

Secondly, the author states that the legs of dinosaurs are undereath their bodies, just as other modern endotherms' legs are, so dinosaurs would be endotherms. In contrast, the professor holds the opposite opinion and believes that the legs position can not necessarily indicate this conclusion. And she provides us another explanation for the legs' position by saying that the legs are used to  support the heavy weight. She states that only with the legs under the body can the dinosaur grow into a large size.

Finally, the professor also points out that the dinosaurs have a specific kind of bones, which can indicate they would stop growing during cooler period. Furthermore, she points out that if the dinosaurs are endotherms, they would not stop growing even in cool environment. This point casts doubt on the author's opinion in the reading stating that the bone structure called Haversian canals can prove that the dinosaurs are endotherms.

Generally, the professor challenges the three theories about how the "great houses" built by settlements of Chaco Canyon were used, which are provided by the author in the reading material.

First of all, the author  presents one theory by stating that the buildings were usded exclusively for residents because they have a apartment-appearance. However the professor argues that these buildings were not residential. He explains that if the buildings were used for residents only, there should be fire places for cooking. But in face, in the "great houses" there are only a few fire places for just 10 families to cook.

Secondly, the author also provides another theory by stating that the Chaco strutures were used for food storing for the reason that the size of these houses makes them a appropriate place for the storing. In contrast, the professor holds the opposite opinion and believes that it is not plausible to make this conclusion. And moreover he states that if they were used for storing places, there would be some traces left, such as some big containers. However there is none.

Finally, the author puts forward a third theory by saying that the Chaco strutures were used for ceremonial meetings for the reason that some discarded pots were found there. On the contrary, the professor casts doubts on this point by stating that other materials also have been found there, and these materials even include some building materials such as sands, stones, and contruction tools. So the professor explains that it is much more likely that these materials besides the pots were the building materials that were not used up by the settlements, but not the ceremonial stuff.

But in face (fact), in one of the largest(最大的中的一个) "great houses" there are only a few fire places for just 10 families to cook.

Secondly, the author also provides another theory by stating that the Chaco strutures were used for food storing for the reason that the size of these houses makes them a(an) appropriate place for the(删去)storing. TO琳子:
Just do it!

First of all, the author in the reading material says that the discovery of dinosaur fossils in the polar regions indicates they are endotherms. Secondly, the author states that the legs of dinosaurs are undereath (拼错:underneath)their bodies, just as other modern endotherms' legs are, so dinosaurs(用代词they是不是更好点?) would be endotherms. In contrast, the professor holds the opposite opinion and believes that the legs position can not necessarily indicate this conclusion. By 平常心)

Generally, the professor challenges the three theories about how the "great houses" built by settlements (这个跟主题没什么关系,可以删掉,然后把of 改成in)of Chaco Canyon were used(for), which are provided by the author in the reading material.(我不建议你第一段只用一个句子表达, 这样读起来有些费力,可分成两个句子写,个人拙见~)

First of all, the author  presents one theory by stating that the buildings were used exclusively for residents because they have a apartment-appearance. However the professor argues that these buildings were not residential. He explains that if the buildings were used for residents only, there should be fire places for cooking. But in face(fact), in the "great houses" there are only a few fire places for just 10 families to cook.(这里应该再提一下房子的数量很多,远远超过10,这样论证才更有力)
Secondly, the author also provides another theory by stating that the Chaco structures were used for food storing for the reason that the size of these houses makes them an appropriate place for the storing. In contrast, the professor holds the opposite opinion and believes that it is not plausible to make this conclusion. And moreover (moreover 和and用一个就行了) he states that if they were used for storing places, there would be some traces left, such as some big containers. However there is none.

Finally, the author puts forward a third theory by saying that the Chaco structures were used for ceremonial meetings for the reason that some discarded pots were found there. On the contrary, the professor casts doubts on this point by stating that other materials also have been found there, and these materials even include some building materials such as sands, stones,(细节,学习了~) and constructions tools. So the professor explains that it is much more likely that these materials besides the pots were the building materials that were not used up by the settlements(好像不是settlements吧,应该是construction workers), but not the ceremonial stuff.

Generally, the professor challenges the point of view that the communal online encyclopedias have some disadvantages compared with the traditional, printed ones, which is illustrated by the author in the reading material.

First of all, the author says that being lack of academic credentials, the contributors have a higher probability to make many errors in the communal online encyclopedias than in the printed ones. However, the professor argues that almost every edition of encyclopedias has some mistakes. It is very hard to find an comprehensive encyclopedia without mistakes. In addition, the professor also points out that it is much easier to correct the errors in the online encyclopedias than in the traditional ones.

Secondly, the author in the reading points out that the user of communal online encyclopedias could not distinguish the original entry if there are some changes in the text. In contrast, the professor holds the opposite opinion and believes that the format of the text will not change. Moreover, the online encyclopedias have some mechanism to monitor these changes to help the users to tell the entry.

Finally, the author also puts forward that the communal encylopedias just concentrate on the hot topics. On the contrary, the professor casts doubt on this point by stating that only the online encyclopedias can decide what is important to people's life. She states that they can reflect the wide range varity of interests that people have. More importantly, they can also provide a great diversity of articles on certain topics, which is the biggest advantages of commual online encyclopedias.

Generally, the professor challenges the point of view that the communal online encyclopedias have some disadvantages compared with the traditional, printed ones, which is illustrated by the author in the reading material.(言简意赅的开头,学习了~O(∩_∩)O~)

Secondly, the author in the reading points out that the user of communal online encyclopedias could not distinguish the original entry if there are some changes in the text. In contrast, the professor holds the opposite opinion and believes that the format of the text will not change.(最好能说一下为什么will not change~因为是only-read format,我自己也没听清这个~囧) Moreover, the online encyclopedias have some mechanism to monitor these changes to help the users to tell the entry.

Finally, the author also puts forward that the communal encyclopedias just concentrate on the hot topics. On the contrary, the professor casts doubt on this point by stating that only the online encyclopedias can decide what is important to people's life.(这个观点好像有点偏激,我觉得这个观点应该是在reading中描述traditional encyclopedia的,就是在reading中,traditional encyclopedia能有的放矢的选择一些信息,而不像online one没有重点) She states that they can reflect the(a) wide range varity of interests that people have. More importantly, they can also provide a great diversity of articles on certain topics, which is the biggest advantage of communal online encyclopedias.
