in the lecture, the professor talks about whether dinosaurs are Endotherm or not, and she takes several point cast on the points, which opposite to the reading materials that dinosaurs are endotherm.

In the first place, professor holds such opinions to cast doubt on the reading is that fossils of dinosaurs were found in polar region cannot proved the dinosaurs are endotherms. Because of the temperature of polar region in the past are warmer than today, so there were not endotherms lived in the polar region. Meanwhile, the dinosaurs had migrated from polar region to warmer region, it is normal that some dinosaurs dead during the migration.

In addition, the professor states that, as opposed to reading place of legs cannot prove the dinosaurs are enrotherms, for it possess the large size, they rely on a their body structure to support there huge weigh; which differs from the reading that there are intimate relationship between the endothemy and position and activity of leg..

What’s more, the professor cast doubt on that the Haversians canals discovered from dinosaurs’ fossil cannot prove dinosaurs are endotherms strongly, because of the there is a kind of substance existed in the bones of dinosaur also which can generate rapidly grow, however, it can lead stop growing or growing slowly in the cold environment, this directly contradicts what the reading passage indicates that the Haversians canals can accelerate the speed of growing of dinosaurs.
