Admittedly, problems nowadays have been becoming increasingly new and complex which seemingly cannot expect to find guidance through understanding the past. The reason is possible that these tough problems people confronted today are quite different from the past, thus there exists little necessity and value to look back. However, from my viewpoint, I disagree with the statement mainly because the superficially new and complex problems actually have a tight relationship of the past.
To begin with, considering the seemingly new problems arose today, numerous numbers of them have resulted from the past and probably the only path (way) to address these issues is to look back (the past experience). Take examples to substantiate my viewpoint. The increasingly serious problem of population aging in China nowadays largely derives from the unsound policy of Birth Control established during 1970s. Fortunately, the government has realized the inappropriate aspects of the policy and the significant influence probably inflicted on the future development of the nation, and thus the policy has been revising continuously to address the problem. Another typical example is the all-sided concept of development—first development and later treatment, which has brought excessive amounts of pollutions to the environment. Clearly, we can promise to change this bad situation only on the premise that we are willing to look back to find out the crucial reasons. In conclusion, as for the “new” problems nowadays, there still exists a great necessity to look back. (the past experience still have its values)(一上来就是观点加一大堆例子,可以简单分析下你的TS)
Additionally, when (it) comes to the superficially complex problems nowadays, they (are) actually (also) had a tight relationship of (to) the past. Under some circumstances, looking back for a sound and object understanding of the past perhaps will be the only method to deal with problems. Consider the dispute between China and Britain of the ownership of HK (that was one of Chinese island Sino-British Opium War), one of the Chinese islands, which finally got( 这个口语用词用was就可以了) solved peacefully under the joint efforts of both sides on the basic of understanding the past correctly and objectively.(the mutual understanding and joint efforts ) Another example is Brandt, the former Premier of the Federal Republic of Germany, who fell on his knees before the monument to the Jews killed in the World War II to apologize for the atrocious(英语的文言文) crimes committed by Nazi. This moving behavior has earned understanding and tolerance (forgiveness) of the suffered countries and people. Clearly, the Premier successfully dealt with the tough problem of animosity against Germany because of the catastrophe through drawing lessons from the past. (不太懂你这句的意思,你把意思和我说下我再帮你改) Accordingly, as I have been discussed above, looking back(适当变换下句式) for an understanding of the past is actually an optimal(optimal 最优的后面又是only 两个是不是有些矛盾了an good就行了), even the only path to deal with the seemingly new and complex problems.
Furthermore, even if these new and complex problems really have quite a little connection with the past; however, that’s not to mean looking back for an understanding of the past surely be of little guidance for living in the present. For instance, the advent of(advanced) cloning technology, which is a completely new domain for human beings, has arose fiercely contention regarding its benefits and potential damage to both(both 怎么冒出3个平行结构了…) people’s ethical and moral standards and the whole society. Finally, the research was banned by formal decree because it contradicted with human nature(上面已经说了对人类的3方面有危害了如果这里还想说的话可以换成principles) in many aspects. Obviously, we, human beings carried out such measures just grounding on looking back to for a sound and deep understanding of ourselves. Thus, even though we confronted with completely new and complex problems, looking back for an understating of the past also serves as an optimal (the best) and wise path to address them.
To summarize, as I have discussed above, these superficially new and complex problems nowadays do have a tight relationship with the past, even they are really new and complex for mankind. Hence, looking back for an understanding of the past will absolutely provide much guidance for living in the present.
点评:
1 结构还是比较清晰的,完全反驳的观点, 作者的观点被一分为二的来写赞一个
2 Seemly new problem 2 superficially complex problems(知道你想分表面的新问题和 复杂的问题,第二观点把superficially去掉)
