In the memorandum from the president of Mira Vista College, it claims that the college should provide more courses in business and computer technology and more job counselors in order to help graduates find jobs after their graduation. It cites the condition at the nearby Green Mountain College that it provides many business courses and job counselors and their graduates had more job offers last year.
Careful examination of this supporting evidence, however, appears little reasonable for the assertion.

To begin with, whether employed or not is really complex and it may be due to many various reasons.
The fact that more business courses and job counselors are provided in the Green Mountain College than in Mira Vista College has no causal relationship with the more job offers.

Perhaps fewer students take the business course and fewer students asked for the job counselors. Therefore, a deep research should be done to investigate whether they plays dominant role in the employment. In addition, the survey of the employment rate is not stated clearly. There is one possibility that Green Mountain College take the statistics in the whole world, however, the statistics in Mira Vita College only come from a city, which could lead a smaller percentage.

Furthermore, the statistics are the situation happened last year, and there is no evidence that the current year could be the same as previous year. One year is too short to make distinguish the real fluctuation in the markets. Perhaps for some reasons, markets preferred the students in Green Mountain College last years while prefer the students in Mira Vista College this year. Therefore, before enough clues are given, one could not assert same circumstance would happen again this year.

Even assuming what has been mentioned is correct, the same method may not be completely applied to the Mira Vista College. To explain, both colleges are different to each other, and each one has its own characteristics. Perhaps Green Mountain College is the one good at business and aims to cultivate the students suitable for the society.
However, Mira Vista College may be good at research, whose graduates may fit for the post graduate study. Hence, college varies from each other and we could simply adopt their approach to tackle our problems.

At last, Mira Vista College aims to help students with their resumes and interviewing skills. This argument rests on the unsubstantiated assumptions that employment is determined by the interviewing skills. Before any deep investigations are done, one could not claim such absolute tone.

In summary, to increase the employment rate of the graduates studying in Mira Vista College, many deep investigations, in diverse aspects, should be done to find out the actual reason.
