The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives


Could the study of history only give guidance to our daily lives,as the speaker asserts?I share the idea with the speaker that history is valuable and instructive to our daily lives.Apart from this value,history  also supplies inspiration and guidance to the future of individual and human being as a whole,since it impart us with vivid examples,perspectives as well as sound morality.

When it comes to our daily lives,more often that not we have to turn to history for guidance to some significant choice or daily chores.An remarkable example is the way to raise children.History is replete with vivid example that parents who successfully cultivated their children into talent and respectfull moguls or failed in this job. So,the study of history could shed some light on the problem of raising children more or less.Further more,even a cursory review of the daily life reveals substantial evidence that we take it granted to resort to history when we confront  with dilemmas of wedding,education,career as well as morality. With respect to this point,history is indeed relevant and even indispensable to our daily lives
Besides,the effect exerted by history on our future is also ineffaceable.Hisroty as a mirror is the representation of past which contains not only the great heroes who successfully fullfill their ambitions or withholded the deadly crashes from physical and spiritual aspects,but also those ordinary people who show lessons in courage,tenacity,wisdom,or diligence.For example,by way of leaning about great human achievements of the past,students may decide to pursue a career of exporing academic mountains or great politician.In addition,history also shows lessons about how to allot time and make a long-term programme for those individuals nourished great goals. So,less people will protest that history contributes to our planning for future even the orientation of one's whole life.
Further more,history also give guidance to the human being as a whole,especially those undesirable and tragic ocurrences of past.To be specific,the environmental problems as the outcomes of longstanding improper human behaviors teach us what will wait for us if we donot take measure to limit those distructive doings.For example,we had lessons of the distater due to impropriate use of nuclear power,such as the accident happened in Three Mile Island and Chernobyl ,which ensure us they won't happen again.In addition,the unprecedented wars which led to the innumerable death ,homelessness as well as drawback of economy gave us lesson that we should resort to peaceful way to resolve desputes between countries.Thus,the future of mankind ,to some extent,depends on provident study of history.
To sum,as the foregoing disccusion,the study of history not only could  give guidance to our daily lives,but more importantly,it is also instructive and valuable for our planning for future as individual and human being as a whole.
