我已经觉得写得惨不忍睹了。。。。。。
It is widely acknowledged that raising children appropriately is crucial for a better society. Focusing on the above fact, the speaker has proposed two claims. One is the socialization of children determines the destiny of the society and the other one is that no efficienct methods have been proposed on how to raise children aiming a better society. For the first claim, from my point of view, has merits as well as flaws, while I do not agree on the second one.
As we all know, sociliation always acts the critical role in every society's development. It makes it possible that people with different backgrounds, doing different jobs, speaking different languages, would be able to communicate to each other by sharing the same customs or possesing the same ideals. Socilization is also an important course when it comes to raising children. The earlier children get used to interact with different kinds of people, possesing the tolerance of different views and culture, the easier the children would lead a successful life, which in turn, would contribute to a better society. On the contrary, for example, a child who is not provided sufficient opportunities to interact with various people, is likely to shy and incapable to work as a team when grow up, or anti-society even worse.
On the other hand, we should notice that, socilization is a sword with two edges. While it teaches children to accept different values and ideals of the society, it can also deprive the creativity from the children, which is one of the most important qualities that people should posses in modern society. If children are taught to say yes to everything he see and hear without any hesitation, they are unlikely to contribute more to a better society. Rieman, the great German mathematician in 19th century, would never publish his famous Riemannian Geometry, which extends the Euclidean Geometry and is the fundation of Einstein's Relative Theory, if he simply accepted the social viewpoint on Euclidean Geometry. In this words, socilization without developing own ideas can sometimes restrict the development of the society. Turing to the speaker's next claim. How to raise children for a better society is always the concern of everyone. Nowadays, we do have develop some gerneral rules that we should follow. For instances, in order to develop children's ability to talk to others and present their own perspective, we let them to talk in public to get rid fo the fear in an early age. We teach them the importance of teamwork so as to develop their ability for teamwork in the future. Although, by no means we can assure the quality of our children, we are doing better and better to raise children for a better society.
To sum up, socilization is an important step for our children to adapt into the society. However, we should not let it restrict own our creativity. Due to the awareness of more and more factors in raising children, we are gradually bring about a better society by raising children properly. |
