As the statement of the speaker, the research of history has meaning only when it can associate with our daily lives. However, I think the viewpoint is not comprehensive for the study of history can supply not only the help to the ordinary life but also a direct to some profounder affairs.

To begin with, there is a common sense that history is a mirror through what people can find the weakness belong to themselves or the mistakes made by the predecessors and then improve or correct them. The studying of history just like injecting a vaccine to a person when encounter the situation which is similar to before. No matter what variations there will be in one day, studying history always helps us finding something useful to our lives. Because to human beings, there is an essential feature which we can call it as heritage. The valuable things we can inherit from predecessors are usually through the studying of history.

Admittedly, the study of history which is relevant to the daily lives almost works in a direct way, usually with a more notability effect than other research about history. There may be three reasons about this. First, the study of history about our daily lives could get the advocate from government seems easier because it can be accepted by ordinary people. Second, this type research often progresses fast according to the plan, for there are more early fruitions, more specialists and more samples could be observed. Third, the result of study could be justified immediately because the audiences are so many, so it can act directly. And if the object it points at is a technology which plays a significant role in the human lives, the effect will be obvious.

However, studying history can offer a wider and more practical perspective to direct people solve some long-term and global problems, which will surpass the daily lives. For example, the study about history of astronomy is no relevant to our daily lives, but no one can ignore the value to its research. Just through the study to the astronomy's history, the scientists today avoid being astray. Nowadays, affairs associated with the world's environment and security gushes more frequently than ever before, to due with such problems we should have a wider and deep horizontal which can attain some help from the study of history.

In addition, such study about history will be made as the fundament of the civilian's progress especially people can learn from the experience of history. Such as the democracy, with so many people devoting to the career to rebel the autocracy, today we have such rights to guarantee a happy life. Another example is the international cooperation. From studying the history of world's development, historians find that the cooperation of different countries can supply an effect of co-win. So that we can see the international cooperation has become a common condition. Studying history can reinforce people's ideology which is help to prompt the improvement of human civilian.

In summarize, the study of history can direct people to improve the present world, whether the daily lives or the wider and long-term affairs. If we can learn from the history, the value of study history is great even surpass our imagination far and away.
