TOPIC: ISSUE32 - "A school or college should pay its teachers at the same rate in all disciplines, regardless of differences in salaries for related fields in the world outside of school. For example, entry-level teachers in mathematics and in the arts should receive the same pay, even if outside of school, math specialists earn a much higher salary on average than do specialists in the arts."

As the college should function to be a pure place for academic, I accept the idea that a school or college had better perform equally to different subjects for all fields are necessary for human kinds no matter how practical in our life they would be used, but, anyway, when things are coming across in the reality, treatment varies, which is also reasonable.

To academic extent, I concede that some fields would be stimulated if they are regard the same important as the key applicable fields, such as tradition study, and some minority analysis program and so forth. They used to be neglected for its lack of practical use and profits, while it is part of the history and the world; thus, crucial as it is, preserving the variety and the history is the responsibility of human beings, which will surely fail, would the recognition and the sponsor are missed. Therefore, these nonprofit subjects urge the same concern or even more concern for the humans’ sake. Equally paid is begged, or even more attention should be given. As a result, I fundamentally agree with the idea presented by the speaker.

Besides the academic concerns, the demands for different funds also amounts to the degree how the finances are granted. When a literature operates its research mainly on the spirits of the author and the references available, which costs relevantly little, the scientists conduct their experiment highly materials dependent. There is no doubt that the finance, thus, ought to vary according to real necessity. A same pay for different fields teacher may block some funds-based projects, while the spirits-based are overwhelming. Since reasons above should taking into account, same pay ensures no equal status. Obstacles might be established, if it is not addressed well the shoulds.

Additionally, rather than a same pay, a same position is better to describe what the teachers are really longing for. The attention they are paid is what they really bears, once they feels that the treatment are fair regardless the salary outside of school, little will they cares for the exact number in their account. Taking the professor in the university teachers in the city of Tokyo for example, they emphasis more in their academic reputations then the salary they have earned. The respect to them is what they enjoys not the money, as they claimed that the salary is not the motivation of their research. Thus, treated equally should be revised in the opinion the speaker notions.

Finally, the same treatment in salary might bring side effects that some less self motivated scientists would receive the same salary as the diligent teachers, which would lead a collapse in the academic performances. No one would expect such kind of assumption be carried out. It had taken place once, and the history tells us that it is unwise for us to test the impossibility on our college. I have to say that the suggestion offered by the speaker should be partly adjusted.

To sum up, a scientific examine had better be carried out for the accurate amount of finance the scientist demands, then we can figure out the exact amount of salary given to the teachers. What might be carefully placed is the emphasis we should lay on the different fields, blind to the position outside.
