130. "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."

The speaker asserts that the way which children are socialized have a significant impact or even crucial effect on the society`s life and future. However, the education system is not successful enough to provide a well-established construction to breed our children. In my observation, I agree with the statement that the method which helps build our future generation results in  being effected by them in the turn-around direction, nevertheless, the statement fails to consider the outstanding outcome which our education have brought in front of us.

Children today live in a better developed world where they could communicate more with their fellows and have great varieties of methods to get informed. The society in this way has raised the kids as a result and on the other hand the kids have impacted the future of it. We need look no further than the example of some activities especially designed for our kids, such as summer camp and the like. Children who take part in this sort of opportunity to open their mind can learn quite a lot for there are quantities of other little young people-most of who are their fellows. The children can play, live, eat, sleep, and most significantly study together. Those kids who pay more attention to observe and reflect can obtain more, for the chief reason that through kinds of cooperation, communication can they know how to behave well, how to learn more and faster than others, how to gain the respects of students and teachers, how to win a final challenge. The knowledge might seems useless to some extent for the girls and boys, however it is worthwhile for them to obtain it. We can assume that in a few years, the leadership and the living method or at least the way to cooperate of our once puerile kids can prove the benefit our children got from the summer camp a couple of years ago. After all, there is no doubt that any kind of education or experience can have an impact on human beings. As a result, the children who will become adults in the future can be the main constructor of the society on the part of their experience and education. Thus, the children and the society affect each other.

However, the speaker places too little value on the excellent results the education has fruited, for the highly developing society by which the system is surrounded. This is especially true in our academic fields which contain a vast of subjects from humanity to science. As a threshold matter, I want to explain the accomplishments that our humanity field has achieved. In the field of fine and performing art, we have formed a variety of different trends, ideas and concept of arts, which essentially owed to the contribution of the education system without which the various types of art workers can never turn into real artists. Moreover, we have made more advancement in scientific areas, the solar-centered theory laid a foundation of modern science, the Theory of Relativity set an outstanding milestone in the scientific history, and the examples of human beings’ discovery and success in academia cannot be all counted. One need not to fail consider the reason the glorious outcomes can finally turn out is that the successful education. Thus it is hard to believe that our society cannot help educate people who can make contributions to the world, any denial to the achievement is sort of denial to ourselves.

Admittedly，The education have raised children who have already bettered the well-being of society, it cannot be perfect whatever. The education still has certain agonizing problems that we have to confront, such as high juvenile crime rate and obesity among young people. It is hard to prevent juvenile crime from happening in the world, as the difference between the rich and the poor are sharply boarded, this does not mean our education can escape from accusation. Education should play a more effective role to direct young people to learn and imitate positive behaviors while keeping away from the negative ones. And when it comes to the obesity in the current world, the education system have to blame for its neglect of the physical health of young people--it provides a more convenient way to use high-technology device yet reduces the exercise children should take synchronously.

In sum, the children who are socialized by the society determine the life of human beings actively, yet we cannot justifiably assert that we have not learned how to raise a person with ability to better society, though there are still problems for education today to solve.
