Education is so important in building our future, no matter in individual level or social level, since what education students receive determine how the students will perform in the future, at least to some extent. Therefore, I fundamentally agree with speaker's claim that both parents and communities should be involved in the local school. Nevertheless, this claim should be voluntary rather than obligatory, because some parents are too busy to attend all the actions involved in the schools.

On the social level, communities provide students various living environments, which will influence the characteristics of the students, especially their behavioral pattern. Consider such two children. One lives in a community emphasizing team work and often organizing team games among the residents. While the other one is in a community where residents seldom know each other, no more to say further cooperation or team work. It is more likely that the former child will be a good team worker in the school education and then grow up to a excellent co-worker in his job, compared to the latter child. Since community influences the students so much that local school education should involve it in.

On the individual level, family is another place where students spend much time and learn from. Old adage says "Parents are best teachers." Parents are the most reliable tutors in the children's lives, even if they are not experts. Children tend to deem their parents as idols and will imitate their parents' behaviors. Therefore, if their parents are not acting as a positive image, whatever good education they receive at school, children are not likely to be competent in their later lives and works. There will not be any teachers or professors who can influence the children as deeply as their parents, not matter how they are experienced or erudite. If parents can be effectively involved in the local school where they children attend, the effectiveness of education is more likely to improve.

However, the ideal situation can not be achieved as we wish for some parents can be too busy working to spare time participating in their children's education. That causes problems. Consider the situation that the local schools require the parents to participate in the course melodrama at the time the parents who are going to attend international meetings abroad. Is that possible to leave the whole nation's economic interests behind to simply play a tree in the school yard? The answer is quite clear. Therefore, despite the participation of parents in local schools, there are some problems impeding the completely compulsory. Voluntary attendance will be more practical.

In sum, if parents and communities can be effectively involved in the local school education, the students can benefit a lot as well as the whole society and family in the future. However, the requirement should be voluntary instead of compulsory considering the parents' busy career.
