09年，我在大二结束的暑假考的10G，AWA只有3.5分。我在考G前的能力是红宝背得不错，其他只有46级水平，所以对AWA相当忌惮，我准备了2个月，期间每天只有3个小时被单词，8个小时看作文，疯狂的程度。用分类挑选了1半的issue题目，每题都想了3遍，做了一个汇集各种例子的大提纲（3M），自信满满的进考场。
结果让我很伤心，伤心到都没有兑现诺言，回馈GT。（别怪我吧，考这么低，回馈了也是白搭）
其实AWA低分的原因很简单，我先不详述了，一句话，我们的作文写得太烂了。
今年我们系开了一门课，case study，每周有一堆英文材料，然后做案例分析。和我一组的人英语都比我好，AWA一个4.5（大二考的）一个4分（这个家伙很懒，4分真的了不起）。我们一起讨论着案例，几周过去了，我发现了我的AWA中issue的严重的问题。
   1、条理不清晰，没有在段首写好中心句
   case stdy的老师很忙，所以我们组就一直努力的写好每段的首句，尽量能让他看懂我们的观点。AWA何尝不是这样，一个阅卷老师2分钟内只能注意看到你的段首（这和他们的写作习惯有关系，他们习惯给出观点和结论，然后再分析，证明和陈述）而且老外会把你的各个段首连接起来，来看你通篇文章的立场（我下面分享的那个case里，老外在下课休息的时候，用10分钟看了21组case，让后做了一个excel表，列出每个人的中心观点。）
。如果我们的作文的段首中心句写的不好，甚至没有明确的中心句，那即是我们的语言在好（其实非常难），例子再新颖，也是白搭。老外看不懂你在说什么的。
   2、写文之前观点不清晰，没有一个总观点，而是想到什么写什么，然后再通过一个一个分论点，“总结”去一个所谓的总观点。

   上两条是技术上的，下面是我认为更重要的地方
   3、我们习惯于没有主见，没有确定自己的立场。

   任何观点都是可以写出一篇issue的，关键是在于作者自己的立场，这个问题我认为比技术上的问题还可怕。我们写作文的时候大部分不考虑自己的立场，而是抒发一通各种各样的观点，一下这个一下又那个，最后中庸一下....
   我认为，一篇好的issue应该是能够把写着写着，而是写得让读的人频频点头，同时让自己的立场更加坚定，而不是东倒西歪，最后都不知道自己该支持什么观点了。比如，穷爸爸富爸爸，这本书的观点是支持不应该向高收入者征收太多的税款，大家可以看一看他是怎么把我们说得心服口服的。
   我们可以归纳一下，作者说：1 向富人征收税赋很大一部分会转嫁到穷人身上（经济学）  2 向富人征收税赋会严重影响经济，降低就业。 3现有体制下，向富人和中产阶级收税，富人有各种办法逃税，中产阶级只能乖乖缴税，是在是不好 4政府收了税之后又要增加支出，购买各种商品，这部分钱又被run business的富人赚走了 5 政府收了更多的税之后胃口更大，支出更多，难以控制，会增收更多的税收，由于第3条，中产阶级的压力更大，最后甚至穷人都要缴税。
   这样的思维能力来自：1社会经验 2平时多思考问题 3知道怎么说服别人 4多练习AWA 5一定要和别人讨论，别闭门造车

   还有一个心得，有时候你发现自己既不支持A也不支持B的时候怎么办？
   这个很明显，你要发表你自己的观点。当然，我不希望你说，A半对，B也半对。最好应该这样说，在XXX情况下，A对，XXX情况下，B对，XXXX情况下AB都错。

   我把我们case study写的材料发上来，我觉得我们的case克服了不少这方面的问题，是关于一家公司要不要被收购的问题，希望大家看一看，会不会有帮助？
Key problem:
whether to accept the bid？

While Henry Morgan is considering which takeover offers Ben & Jerry’s should take, our group focus more on whether it should be acquired or not. From our point of view, Ben & Jerry’s should not be acquired.
Admittedly, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), once a doing-good sideshow, is now seen as mainstream. Most of the giant business empire are seemingly doing good thing, however, their motivation is not to do good to our society, but to make more profit. To them, the whole CSR things are only another kind of advertisement which is to seize the moral highly ground and to be more appealing and attractive to the customers.
However, Ben & Jerry is totally another case. In Ben & Jerry’s, social mission is not only a way to do charity work, but also a part of its essence. It creatively penetrates its social responsibility into their operation and promotion of products, such as the case where they choose the Cashew & Brazil nuts as one ingredient to make its ice cream for the sake of avoiding the tropical trees cut down. The motivation doing that is not merely to make favorable taste ice cream, if any, but to protect environment in a substantial way by this innovation. What makes the company different is exactly their creative minds to find a win-win solution to the seemingly conflict between the environmental problems and the economical concern.
Moreover, the take-over will probably eliminate Ben & Jerry’s social consciousness gradually.
On one side, the gap between take-over price and stock price may lead the company pay more attention to economic value. The market stock price of Ben & Jerry’s is 21$, while the highest bid only reaches 36$. The big difference will urge the new boss to recover the cost. Then it is entirely possible that Ben & Jerry’s will emphasize more on economic value than social responsibility, especially when it comes to make a choice about whether to sacrifice its short term interest for long term benefit of both company and society or not.
On the other side, the change of corporate governance may result in stagnancy of social mission movement. The company’s core value—handle both social problems and company’s developing requirements with creative ways—comes from the characters of leaders, instilled into every member of Ben & Jerry’s. Once taken over, this core character of company may disappear under new leaders. Suppose Ben & Jerry’s taken by Unilever—a company without outstanding sense of social responsibility, the core value of Ben & Jerry’s may disappear. It is because lack of this kind of character or even, Unilever change the original core value by instilling its own company character.
From the proposal of bids, which nakedly show the restriction of social commitments and interest, it can be inferred that each take-over deal will change Ben & Jerry’s routine. On the behalf of entire society, we oppose this take-over.
Nevertheless, we have to say, Ben and Jerry, for several other consideration, may have to agree one of the takeover offers, though we insist that they had better not selling their own company to any of the investors, regarding the consistence of the couple’s great care for social responsibility.
By the year 2000, both of them are 50 years old, at the age of knowing their destiny (according to Confucius). They may become not as energetic and innovative as decades ago. Moreover, we notice that Ben and Jerry are gay, which implies they cannot have any descendants for the company. Therefore, they may worry about the future of Ben & Jerry Homemade, Inc., and have realized that it would be better for them to get rid of the business, since being taken-over by a large corporation could somehow help the company and all its stakeholders still live a better life.
With these thoughts, we can understand why Ben and Jerry finally agreed to sell the company. However, we believe it is only a compromise: a compromise between the company’s on-going and its social responsibility, a compromise between economic value and social value, a compromise between reality and utopia.

技术总结：1文章的结构，段的首句就能决定你的分数
            2请坚决的站在一个阵营里（不是简单的支持或反对，而是给出你的观点，而且要让你的观点“有用”。比如我比较喜欢分情况讨论，当然还有其他的）
            3在一个阵营的基础上，再用辩证的方法，分两面看问题。同时修正自己最初的观点
            4举一个公司或者名人的方法只是一种举例，而且是不太好的举例方法。还有比喻论证和情景分析法等等。
            5  结构、结构、结构，一定要让别人能在2分钟内看懂你的思想，要在2分钟之内脱颖而出。


最后说一下总结，如果你像我一样当时从46级的水平开始准备，平时没有太多的练习，那我建议首先调低期望，然后巧干加努力，很肯有很不错的成绩。如果你的水平一直不错，从小英语环境好，来自大城市，那你加油吧，别偷懒，4分时你的最低目标。如果你是牛人，麻烦你考完之后把你的经验法到这个论坛上来。
