TOPIC: ISSUE168 - "Critical judgment of work in any given field has little value unless it comes from someone who is an expert in that field."

Critical judgment, a subjective method to evaluate others' work, could present a varied view for artists, political, and scientists. However, whether the critic is worthy is not only dependent on whether one is professional, but also on whether one's work needs to follow others' advices.

First of all, there exist cases that opinions from all aspects, no matter whether they have a deep understanding or not, are valuable. In politics, voices from the common people present what they really need and want, thereby contributing to the establishment and improvement of policies. Further, politics are supposed to listen to various ideas and argument, so that they could conduct the most efficient and effective policies. Also, the jury in the court acts as a role to provide critical judgments about cases, representative what ordinary people feel about the laws and the sentences. After all, with a wide range of advices, one tends to think more critically and determines more scientifically.

Except those cases, in the areas that originality matters and others' suggestions are of little help, even the critic of experts is not that valuable. In such situations, Critical judgment from the professional seldom serves as a means to inspire one. Nor to mention the critics hardly understand what one attempt to express. For example, paintings, composing and essays are the expression of one's emotions and senses. Even learning what other artists and critics might evaluate the work, one cannot easily change the style and forms of his or her work. Only a long period of practice and life experience help improve the quality of one's work. Therefore, if one creates works that based on his or her feelings, there is little that critical judgments, even professional ones, can provide.

Finally, in the realms where professional guidance are necessary for further improvement, such as physics, chemical and mathematics, opinions from experts would avert one taking the wrong way and spending too much time on worthless parts. Scholars and researchers in such areas more or less experienced what newcomers are going through. They also establish a thorough and comprehensive view of the fields they devoted in. Undoubtedly, their judgments upon others’ work are objective and worthwhile. In this sense, cherishing experts' judgment is necessary in natural science and the like.

In summary, in natural science, newcomers should take critical judgments from the experts seriously in order to achieve his or her goal quickly; while in the fields where more focus is on originality, opinions even from the professional are not so helpful. And there are also some fields where all of the critiques are useful for one to make wise decisions.

Critical judgment, a subjective method to evaluate others' work, could present a varied view for artists, political, and scientists. However, whether the critic is worthy is not only dependent(直接用depends吧?) on whether one is professional, but also on whether one's work needs to follow others' advices.

Also, the jury in the court acts as a role to provide critical judgments about cases, representative what ordinary people feel about the laws and the sentences. After all, with a wide range of advices, one tends to think more critically and determines more scientifically.(这段是说critical judgment不论是不是专家都有用)
Except those cases(用except的意思是,除了上面提到的就是这段提到的,那第三段往哪里放呢?), in the areas that originality matters and others' suggestions are of little help, even the critic of experts is not that valuable. Only a long period of practice and life experience help improve the quality of one's work. Therefore, if one creates works that based on his or her feelings, there is(用which是不是好点?) little that critical judgments, even professional ones, can provide.(这段是说即使是专家也没用)
