Art is very common and also important in our daily life. From primary school to secondary school, we learn many kinds of art, such as painting, drama and singing. Even in the college or university, some students choose art disciplines for their careers. The development of art in many countries is supported by the government. The speaker points out that it is inappropriate for government to support the art, especially when the society is in a specific situation. I disagree with the speaker, in some cases, the only way that the art can develop is depends on the government.

First, it is true that when people in a society are hungry or unemployed, the government should give more public resources to assist the society. Nowadays, many nations went through a big earthquake, everyday the amounts of injured and dead people are continually increased. Myriad of people lost their families and houses, and the whole city is destroyed. This is the big situation that the government should give much supports instead of patronizing art. Besides this huge natural calamities, poverty, violence and disease are always existing and never be solved. If we support the art as long as eliminating all these things, the art will not be sustained forever.

Second, sometimes it is very important for the government to support art. With out it, some kind of art would make no progress. For instance, Samuel Johnson, a very famous writer, is very poor when he write the "a Dictionary of English Language." He asks for many people to give him some economical support, but it is failed. If the government sustains his at that time, he will finish it without many sufferings. Accordingly, appropriate economical support will help to accelerate the development of art, and it will also give the whole society lots of great fortune.

Finally, art is sometimes more easier to propagate with the help of the government. One of the greatest painters, Monet, aroused people's attention after his death. In his whole life, no one knows the price of his works. One of the reason is no one bring his works to some famous critics. If the government always gives a hand to these artists, they will have more chances to be famous in the world. by the influence of the art works more and more people will contribute themselves to the art, and then bring us a more magnificent works.

In sum, as the everlasting poverty and other issues in one country, we can not support the art when these problems are removed. Government plays a significant role in the development of art. Although sometimes the leaders of a country will have a impact on the art creation and lead them to a way that they want, it is still very necessary for them to sustain the art. It will not only help them to produce more convenient, but also make other people think highly of the art. Moreover, the world will be full of the beautiful art works.
