非模板写作第二篇，ISSUE170。不管怎样，只要过程有所收获并且开心。Fighting!!!

非模板写的第二篇，算是基本限时成功了。不去想模板，只照着自己对题目的理解来写，整个写下来感觉很愉快，但也担心这样的文章是不是能拿到一个像样的分。在还有不到一个礼拜的时候，自己却喜欢上不按模板来写东西，昨晚小纠结了一下，一个是有保障比较稳妥的模板，一个是如果人品不好选题不如意就可能答不完甚至什么都写不出来的窘境，但最后还是选择了后者。其实我的要求也并不高，3分我就觉得可以，但只是不愿意照这模板去背什么东西，实在觉得这样写的很不舒服，如果同样是3分，我更希望自己写得爽快高兴一些。一辈子我就想考这一次GRE，不论好坏，所以也不想留什么遗憾了。
感觉中间扯得部分有些切题不好，甚至担心有些跑题。另外还有各种各样的问题，毕竟自己的基础太差阿（四级426，呵呵），所以求各路高人猛拍。不胜感激。。。

    Which is the surest indicator of a great nation, the achievement of some individuals, or the general welfare of all its people? Of this question, I hold the same point of view as the speaker, that it is the general welfare of all its people rather than achievement of individuals.
    At the very beginning, I concede that the rulers, artists, and scientist make a great contribution to the their nation, even the whole world. The great triumphs we can remember of the past almost comes from the great individuals, or some great institutions, rather than than all the nation's people. It it clearly that these achievements make a great force to the advancement of the nation. For instance, because of the improvement in science, the productivity of some nations in Europe has significantly increased in eighteenth century. And they soon became the powerest nations in the world and maintain the strongest army to conquet the whole world. Admittedly, the individuals, especially scientists, engineers, commanders, make a great contribution to the contries. While these nations with such achievements, in my view, are hardly to be defined as the real great country.
    When it coms to the real defination of a great nation, we should consider the real final goal of the nation, and I prefer that it is the general welfare of all its people, rather than the great achievements of individuals, that could be the surest indicator of a great nation. Why we should build up our nation to leave together? It seems that the neccessarity of nation is decreasing, especially in such a globlization world in this era, while I must claims that it is the exsist of nation that guarantee the peaceful and developing life of our own.
    In the early of twentieth century in China, there was no a real nation. Different power holders make no contribution to the nation but keep endless fighting. At that time, there are still some great individuals to make a great achievement in different areas, such LIANG SICHENG in architecture, but it is too little to the whole nation. Most of Chinese are still suffer from poverty, coldness, diseases and most important. Thus, we can not regard it as the surest inditor of a great nation unless it can promote the whole people's general welfare in the nation. Why we all Chinese show great respect to the great thinker and leader Chairman Mao? it is because that what he did are point to all the people of the nation, instead the benefits of some individuals. And only himself alone also can not indicate a real great nation, though he is very important one. The true original force, and at the same time, real final goal of the nation is the people, in this cacs, the nation can be called a great nation.
    To sum up, I my historycal view, the individuals play an very important role to make advancement of society. However, to a nation, especially a real great nation, the people is determinated. Not only are they the original force to the nation----it is the people that build up the nation rather than some individuals, but their general welfare are the surest indicator of the great nation.
