This assertion is based on the comparison of the function of science with the purpose of art. To evaluate both, we had better make it clear how what science or art does reassures or upsets people. Therefore, I cannot agree with the writer's opinion without specific discussion.

Science plays an important role in reassuring people. We are now entering an era that scientific achievements flooding into our life. At the same time, we are faced with the era lacking energy. For example, reliant on physics study, we make use of the sun light to heat water and food; accordingly, scientists attempt to discover other energy which can replace the traditional one. Again, reliant on chemical improvement, we extract useful components from raw oil and make products such as medicine and clothes. Thus, raw oil is used in several ways so that we make the most of it instead of a partial waste. There is no doubt that science makes people confident with man's energy usage. Hence, in such circumstance science acts to reassure people.

However, science sometimes plays trick on human and even upset them. The unexpected influences of scientific experiments result in polluting the environment, threatening human health and social development. For instance, the medicine industry is a place where medical products are made to treat one's illness. Whereas, when the complete procedure is not fully planned and the waste comes into being a kind of pollution that may cause another health risk. If so, what does such an industry act, a medicine producer or a disease cause? Considering about the health risks in store, we would prefer the latter value. As a result, the function of science turns out to upset people.

Almost the same when it comes to art. Those pieces of art work that reveal poverty, sadness, disasters and so on often upset people a lot. Perhaps at the first glance, people are moved and reminded of something by the negative topics. However, when such topics occur too often, it is sure to upset people. We cannot forget that certain notable poets, painters and musicians left the world with the last piece of work as a signal of suicide. That kind of art is not advocated at all.

On the other hand, to relax people or release their tension, some pieces of art work-such as slow music, beautiful pictures and the like-reassure their audiences. It is said that more than half of patients with mental diseases prefer to receive music or painting treatment instead of traditional ones. Since confusing problems in their heart result in the disease, only if they find a proper way to pour out all puzzles can they feel better. Obviously, music, painting and other forms of art provide those patients with a key to their problems.

To conclude, both science and art can be divided into two parts-positive and negative-as well as other fields such as law, economy, education and so on. The purpose of science and art is to reassure if they both are properly taken advantage of. All in all, the specific situation is what counts in our discussion.

说实话，我很久没写issue，很没感觉，那些需要具体的例子是真的没时间想，具体人名事例都想不到，只能模糊写下了。而且这样的文章已经写了很长时间，要是再具体点不知道要写几个小时。。。我真是苦恼啊这事
