Art, as a form of creation, has inspired generations of people through history. Great artists, whether or not he/she was recognized by his/her contemporaries, are the creators of beauty and enjoyment which by any means will last forever. People whose specialty is to evaluate the works of art are called critics. Thus, this profession, which cannot exist without art or artist, is tempting to be ignored by some people. In fact, if artist was fish, critics must be the sea. That is to say, without artist, critic was a backwater; without critic, artist would be dying.
  To begin with, artists from the very early era have been providing people with sensory enjoyment or spiritual enlightening. Not to mention the masterpiece of De Vinci and Mozart, almost all the paintings and music can entertains us a lot. Novels, if or not the authors got fame, their works depict something hidden profoundly in people's heart. Looking back to human's struggle in history, every movement was promoted by the books that released people's mind. To be sure, art, or the meaningful art works will be everlasting with the wheels of history move forward and artists will also be remembered by their endeavors in creating these works.
  Nevertheless, critics are also indispensable. For common people, they generally have no special study about a certain form of art. Then, were not the critics advocate the art works, artists would have to cut with the earthly world and waiting for a whole life for people's appreciation. By evaluating the art works, the critics made possible the distant art forms keep intimacy with the common viewers or listeners and speculators.  From this perspective, even though critics' job is relying on every single art work, it's vital to both the creators and the receivers. They learn from the critics' editors posted on internet or periodic about how to look into a picture or how to relate the heroes' destiny in the novels to their daily lives or what the spotlights of a piece of song. Otherwise, we would be at loss in picking up the valuable one from the vast amount of art works; artists would be depressed as no one applauds for his/her works.
  Moreover, as artists and critics live on with each other, one can never overstate or overlook one of them. Of course, there are the works that even the critic cannot appreciate which are post-modernized or too abstract. One telling example is about the genius painter Vincent Van Gogh, who was never be complimented during his lifetime and until his decedent did people noticed the preeminence of his works. But this is not the reason why artist play more significant role than critics, because without them van Gogh's masterpiece may treated as trash till now.
   All in all, it's presumptuous to say that artists' work gives us more than the critics' work does. Actually, no artist, even the most talented can be valued without the dedication of professional critics. It's undeniable that we should treasure the art works presented by artists' whereas, we should respect the works and diligence of the critics as well for they are the ones bring these masterpiece to our sights.
