Education is a permanent issue for human beings that across the state frontiers. Numerous of sages have brought about their opinions on the best way to effective education, from Confucius to Socrates. However, they all share one common ground, which is the important role interest plays in the process of learning. Admittedly, interest is indispensable when one wants to handle some knowledge. Yet overemphasize on specially design to meet everyone’s interest is also not the right access to the successful education.
A well-known saying from Edison told us that' interest is the best teacher". The saying is used to point out the significance of interest for a pupil or a knowledge chaser. People who have attended school share the same experience that we like to attend the classes that can stimulate our interests. Thus, the statement-if education was designed to individual's interests and needs would make education more effective-seems quite reasonable. Teachers of the favored courses are easier to build up a harmonious relation with their students which is also beneficial to their conveying of knowledge. At the same time, as the students are being concerned, they are more inspired to work hard in school. From this perspective, interests and needs of the students can indeed beneficial the effects of education.
However, the word "specifically" seems more or less exaggerated. Looking from a global angle, our education resources are still limited. Especially in countries like China, which owns a large population and considerable part of them are still living under poverty line, with children in the remote areas even haven't get opportunity to attend schools. The idea that design education specially cater to individual's needs and interests is apparently impractical to these countries right now. Even though some affluent parts of these countries are doing so, that would be treated as a waste of educational resources.
Besides, the aim of the traditional general schools is to breed comprehensive educated men to the society, which is distinctively different from the professional education. It's undeniable that professional education should focus on the students' interests and needs for the reason that they will live on these skills to sustain themselves after graduation. Whereas, general schools should set the curriculum soundly in order to fulfill the various needs of their students. After all, the fast developing society needs more comprehensive employees than those who can only deal with problems of one or two fields. School's overemphasizing on individual's interests and needs will be detrimental to their wholesome ability in the end.
In fact, educators should seek a balance way between students' interests and needs and the traditional aim and spirit of education. For instance, high school students can choose to take part in interest groups; college students have their right to decide the extra courses that they would like to attend.
All in all, individual's interests are important in achieving effective education. But the educators cannot only emphasize on this aspect of education.
They should try their best to combine the individual needs and the overall aim of education. Only by doing so can we establish a practically mature education system.
我看了一下当年pooh姐姐对这个题目的分析,她认为本文中的三个关系是1.education
2.effective 3.meet the individual interests of each student
所以我认为存在如下的关系:1为了达到2,途径只有3。所以effective是结论,应该突出来写的。
Education is a permanent issue for human beings that across the state frontiers. Numerous of sages have brought about their opinions on the best way to effective education, from Confucius to Socrates. However, they all share one common ground, which is the important role interest plays in the process of learning. Admittedly, interest is indispensable when one wants (desires)to handle some knowledge. Yet overemphasize on specially design to meet everyone’s interest is also not the right access to the successful education.(似乎没怎么提到effective啊…)
A well-known saying from Edison told us that' interest is the best teacher"(大俗例…虽然我也用了). The saying is used to point out the significance of interest for a pupil or a knowledge chaser. People who have attended school share the same experience that we like to attend the classes that can stimulate our interests. Thus, the statement-if education was designed to individual's interests and needs would make education more effective(看到effective了!)-seems quite reasonable. Teachers of the favored courses are easier to build up a harmonious relation with their students which is also beneficial to their conveying of knowledge. At the same time, as the students are being concerned, they are more inspired to work hard in school. From this perspective, interests and needs of the students can indeed beneficial the effects of education.(特殊的课程受到优待,老师给予学生更多的关注,学生更加学习努力,我觉得可以改一改,更贴合情况,例如老师在学生的知识requirement方面尽量贴合学生的请求,以致师生关系融洽,学生从老师处得到了自己的需求,更加努力学习,突出这个needs~)

(specifically对于resource的浪费,完全符合pooh姐姐的观点….)
Besides, the aim of the traditional general schools is to breed(cultivate?) comprehensive educated men to the society, which is distinctively different from the professional education. School's overemphasizing on individual's interests and needs will be detrimental to their wholesome ability in the end.(才疏学浅,这段我觉得观点明确,语句流畅…只是没有例子)
In fact, educators should seek a balance way between students' interests and needs and the traditional aim and spirit of education. For instance, high school students can choose to take part in interest groups; college students have their right to decide the extra courses that they would like to attend. (这段观点太好了…就是有点短,可以展开说一说。可能来不及打字)
All in all, individual's interests are important in achieving effective education. But the educators cannot only emphasize on this aspect of education.
They should try their best to combine the individual needs and the overall aim of education. Only by doing so can we establish a practically mature education system.
