这篇是赶的,应该会有不少错,麻烦大家耐心拍······
"Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

The speaker asserts that only through meeting all the needs and interests of students will education be truly effective. It seems like a sound suggestion, but on second thought, we find that unrealizable. As I see it, some of the compulsory education must be guaranteed whether it is the interest of students or not. Furthermore, education should meet the interests of students if it is necessary.
It is reasonable to consider that education should fulfill one's needs and interests in all aspects. This is held by the generals as a standard to evaluate the education. In this case, an individual potential in certain field will be revealed, especially some concealed talent. This education system certainly suits for everyone. Moreover, a student being centered and appreciated will have a lot of motivation in study.
However, reasonable as it may seem, it is unrealizable to meet every student's interests in every aspect. Compare with the huge amount of students, teacher, schools and such resources are so limited. To use it in a overloaded way in order to fulfill every students' needs is not a effective method. It has to be taken into account that whether a society is capable to put so many energy on education. Additionally, students' interests are numerous and various, and that requires every expert in each field must take part in education to satisfy a student. It certainly involves someone who does not belong to the education system. Hence the system will be hard to execute.
Assuming that there are enough facilities and teachers provided. Meeting the needs and interests of each student is not the right way to specifically design education for individual. Admittedly, it is often childhood of a person to be educated. During this period, individual standard of what is good or bad is not established yet. Education should provide necessary guidance to keep individual from aberrance, rather than fulfill his or her curiosity. For instance, if a person's interest is crime or violence, should we still fulfill his needs? On the other hand, education has the responsibility in providing capable people for the society, so it can't be too specifically to maximize a person's certain possible talent. It is bad for individual either because one's interests might have little help to future careers.
Although totally specifically in designing education for individual is not available, there are some related curriculum can be provide as long as the quality of compulsory education is guaranteed. For example, students of structure engineering should take some courses esthetics while students of architecture should learn something about structural design and mechanics. In this case they will both promote themselves and will work together smoothly in the future.
To sum up, specifically designed education is neither effective nor possible. Resources for more choices and autonomy to students can only be provided after compulsory education is guaranteed. This would be the right way to enhance the effectivity of education.
