Nationalgovernments should devote more of their social programs and services tochildren than to adults.


The writer's opinion is that the governmentshould promote more programs for children rather for adults, under the concernof the future of the society. I agree with the writer insofar as to care aboutthe young generation that dominate the long-term development of thecountry.
Meanwhile, I do think that abetter-off condition will result from the more consideration of the adultgeneration who are dominating the present country and also act as the biggestfactor influencing the children.

Good condition of adults will lead to goodlife for the children; on the contrary, if adults were to live a miserablelife, whatever programs or services the government offer, the children wouldnot live happily. The programs for adults, including the courses to get a betterjob and the social security program will inevitably improve the whole welfare of the adults,thus a good condition of their family. Children can undoubtedly take advantageof a better family. After all, it is quite rare for parents who can afford newclothes not to feed their children.


However, consider the programs forchildren, mostly education and communication of children from different areas programs. Admittedly, under the same circumstance,program like these canhelp strengthen the confidence, increase the knowledge, widen the scope（怎么改好一点啊） and thus creat amore promising new generation. Yet, if such programs are at the expense ofworse social security or
a loweremployment rate, then it is a totally different case. The money given by the government for educationto the children will be misappropriated for a full stomach, and no one willtake part in the activity to meet new friends for they are still struggling fora chance of their own living.


Moreover, more benefit the adults get fromthe programs, more prosperousthe whole country will be, which means a better situation for the children. Thefuture development of a country relies not only on the quality of the futuregeneration, but also on the standard of development when they take over thecountry. There is a positive relationship between the ability of the adults andthe prosperousness of the country, and the former can be raised by more programs.From this point of view, the effect by providing more programs to the adult consiststhose by program to children.

In sum, the consideration for children isan agreeable idea. Nevertheless, as the adults are the dominant factor of whatkind of life children can have, the program for adult should be more than thoseto children. Besides, we rely on the adult to transfer the children a better country.
