TOPIC: ISSUE208 - "The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people."

Thesis: 在文化同质化较为普遍的今日，要从一个人的外表与行为而了解到它背后的社会文化，已经不再是件很容易的事了。

曾经分离的各个族群所独立发展起来的有地方特色的服饰，已经在逐渐走入博物馆。

一个人的行为 不同于较为追随个人品味的外貌一般，更多的是在家庭与社会想法与价值的影响与教育中建立起来的，还是在时间的洗礼中保留着它的地方独特性。

当然，即使整体上人们的行为中能反应一个社会的想法与价值，还是无法排除一些个体的差异性。（如一些由兴趣影响的地方-喜欢摇滚的年轻人会表现出一种没有国界的行为类似性）

conclusion:若想要去了解一个社会的思想与价值的本质还是需要去更多的接触他们的文学，艺术等



Under the circumstance of increasing national assimilation in today's world, this question is extremely of significance to raise the fierce discussion among the society. I tend to disagree with the statement the author presents, which is more likely from a traditional perspective. It is no surprising to see whole world is more and more tend to be a global country, with people behavior and dressing styles gradually are getting closer. Hence, personally, to understand a distinct society's ideas and values, one is supposed to dig deeper rather than only judge from the appearance.

Once to be isolated from each other, most religion or nation had created their own traditional and special clothes styles, which are actually walking into the museums gradually nowadays. Undeniable, the way people look and dress once to be a simple and accurate label of their own religion or nation. It is easy for people to tell American Indian from the Jewish people. Traditional clothes everywhere are representative of their social values, aesthetical achievement and even the religion beliefs, and even in the first glance, one can feel the special power of those mixed meanings even not detailed. However, when the impact of globalization has sneaked into most regions and nations all around the world, i have to doubt that whether those traditional clothes are still prevailing in your own society, everyone's own society. People in other countries are starting to wear T-shirt and jeans just like the American people do. So are the ones in American itself, people from different backgrounds are gradually affected by the similar fashion trend. Those phenomena also occur to the other aspects of appearance, the haircut, cosmetics, even the skin color today. Maybe some people may say there are so many tribes still dressing themselves in their own way and of extremely mystery. Unless stay away for the battle of the national assimilation forever, it is hard to tell the ending of the story. Thus, when Chinese elements are present in every mainstream brands' show and people from all around the world start to buy those clothes and bags, it is not an easy task to tell much about the individual social values and ideas behind their appearances any more.

Unlike the out appearance which is more relevant to one's own taste, the act of people is much more from his tradition and education from both family and society, remaining to be distinctive on the sea of time. From the Germany's behavior especially during the work hour, one can still feel their preciseness-one spirit of this nation both derived from their values and culture. One might distinguish the Frenchmen even just from an eye contact. Their romantic soul can be seen even in some daily act. A society's values and tradition remains its glory and special graph in people's behavior reasoning that ones' establishing behavior is a process of receiving the indications of the family and society. Undeniably, a society's ideas and values, just like American multiply culture, are changing with the time more or less. Those changes can also be reflected in ways of its people act.

Certainly, even present an overall reflecting of society's ideas and values, one cannot rule out the existing of the individual difference. People are also affected by their own interest, which is not all bearing the values and ideas of the society. The youth all around the world might be obsessed in rock spirit-a non-government values-even in some nation are against their own society's ideas and values. They may act the same styles towards life without any evidence of their potential society effect values.

Overall, in today's world, a society's ideas and values may be not easy seen from the people's appearance, but still have evidence on people's behavior in large scale. But the understanding is very limited. To know the pith of a society’s ideas and values, it is more efficient for one to turn to their literature, history, arts and other forms of expression of ideas and values.

我整体思路都很好，应该是反驳、让步、再反驳吧。例子也很丰富，能支撑论点。我觉得你Idea和表达应该没什么问题，只是不知道你写这篇文章用了多少时间呢？
我说下我自己吧，一开始我认真思考后写一篇被称为complex的文章要2个小时，大概600多字吧。后来我开始限时写，我打字就慢45分钟只能打450左右的字，又要思考，时间真的很紧，想到什么就打什么，显得有点乱然后结构逻辑就没那么好了。
我不知道你情况是不是跟我一样，现在开始背自己提纲，防止考试的时候乱来。
