According to this statement that arts can uncoverhidden social ideas.I fundamentally agree with the speaker on this point thatsome parts of art works can uncover the social ideas to some extent.Nevertheless, there are a host of art works which are just indicate theircreators personal feelings, and there are also various approaches expect thearts can reflect the social ideas.

To begin with, I agree with this statementthat through some art works people can get general ideas about the hidden ideasin certain eras. Firstly, when it comes to literatures, the graphic and vivid wordsmake the reality lifestyle and people’s emotion emerge in one’s head. Take theMark Twain’s famous work “Old Times on the Mississippi” as an example, by usingthe accurate words deeply and vividly described the eccentric and bright ideasof the people on boats, Mark Twain gives a really condition of people’s livesat that time. By reading “Cathedral of Notre Dame”, a worldwidely-renowned bookwritten by Hugo, a picture of lives in Paris in 15th Century showedin our mind, and this book is just like a kaleidoscope of different behaving ofdifferent people.

Secondly, in terms of paintings and musicthey both provide people with a more profound insight of the time when thepaintings and music created by artist. Furthermore, paintings and music aremore vivid and graphic than the literature works as we generally recognize.Look at the famers in “ The Gleaners” painted by Mille, people can largelycomprehand the hard and unending lives of famers. Similarly, from Repin famouspainting ”Barge Haulers on the Volga” the pathetic of those hard working menare the really feeling of their readers.

Admittedly, as we know some of art worksare created just to showing the artists personally feeling at that time. Suchas Van Gogh famous “Sunflowers” which is realized just to show Van Gogh’personally habit on cultivating sunflowers. And from the rich color of thispainting we can find Van Gogh is the very person who appreciates his lives withlove and warmth, which has litter contribute to reflect the social ideas.

Nevertheless, there are a host of otherapproaches with the similar functions as art works. Such as customs, people’spersonal emotion are, in large measure, reflected by their own characterizedcustoms. Then, through those different styles and various colors of people’s clothes,people from other places can more or less know the hidden social ideas of thecountry.

Overall, though art works people are ableto understand some social ideas which is uncover by those art works. However,there are also a host of art works created to show the artists their personallyemotional with has little connect with social ideas, so it is impossible to saythose personal showing art works has the function of reflecting the socialideas.

Nevertheless, there are a host of art works which are(不需要are吧?) just indicate the creators’personal feelings, and there are also various approaches expect(改成other than或者besides,你可以看看except和besides的区别) thearters can reflect the social ideas(这个你好像没有论证到,难道是我没看懂的那段？呵呵).
