In this statement, the speaker asserts thatthe luxuries and convenience of contemporary life impede us to being strong andindependent individuals. However, in my opinion, although these moderndevelopments may to some extent cause new social problems, we still should notoverlook the convenience and affectivity that they bring to us. Meanwhile,these progresses also enrich the options and enable us to become moreindependent than before.

To begin with, I concede that these modernluxurious and convenient staff does have enfeebled some of our natural ability.After all, with the development of the science, the scientific technologieshave gradually infiltrated through our life and work. The more private carscongested in the parking lots and personal garages, the less distance we canwalk in one time; Meanwhile, the recent Chinese national survey suggests thatthe average time of people spend on watching television has a direct proportionwith the rate of obese population. These facts suggest that our agility andstrength of our body is vestigial, end even worse, we also losing somefundamental ability. For example, staring at television for long time alsocontribute a main factor to the increasing number of optic people. Listening musicloudly, especial with earphone, is extremely harmful to our acoustic ability.

However, the negative side of these newtechnologies bring to us cannot dissemble the convenience and affectivity ofthem provide to us. No one can deny that these new staffs dramatically changeour way of our life and work and make us stronger. As we know, the contemporarytransportation tools --airplane, automobile, subway and so on -- enable us totravel much more convenient and comfortable. Nowadays, we can fly from anyAsian countries to American in several hours, instead of withstanding theseasick for several weeks. In addition, the document on computer, substitutefor the paper writing records, significantly facilitate people to modify, storeand search information. In addition, the Internet definitely enriches us to receivemuch more information than before. Thus, these example aptly demonstrate thatthese new device lead our life and work much more simple and convenience.

The other compelling reason why I cannotagree with the speaker has to do with the fact that the development of the newdevice offer more options to us, and then we become more independent, when weface to choice. As we know, when the private car become popular with people allover the world, these private car not only means an alternative transportationtools, but also means more choice for our career. It is very common the peopleto have job outside there communities. For instance, lots of people live in NewJersey and work in New York for pursuing the better payment or promising careerdevelopment. The same theory to the personal education, when people chooseuniversity, there are the number of universities are available for them. Ifthey want more special experiences and completely independent, they even can applythe oversea universities. All of these varieties in our choice have to give thecredit to the new technical development. The transportation system cut thedistance between one location to the others, the Internet bring the usefulinformation to us.

In conclusion, although the luxuries andconvenience of the contemporary life bring the unexpected negative side to us, weare still reward from these conveniences. Thank for these staff, our life andwork became much more convenient and effective, and also these new technologiesdiversify our options in our work and education, and then make us much more independent.

The other compelling reason why I cannot agree with the speaker has to do with the fact that the development of the new device offer more options to us, and then we become more independent, when we face to choice. As we know, when the private car become popular with people all over the world, these private car not only means an alternative transportation tools, but also means more choice for our career（后半句能更贴近论点将更妙）. It is very common the people to have job outside there communities. For instance, lots of people live in New Jersey and work in New York for pursuing the better payment or promising career development. The same theory（thing，theory一词含义包含太大了） to the personal education, when people choose university, there are the number of universities are available for them. If they want more special experiences and completely independent, they even can apply the oversea universities. In conclusion, although the luxuries and convenience of the contemporary life bring the unexpected negative side to us, we are still reward from these conveniences. Thank for these staff（stuff）, our life and work became much more convenient and effective, and also these new technologies diversify our options in our work and education, and then make us much more independent.
