Well, I still think you always have more chance to increase your background, or else your background is already as strong as you can get admitted into JHU easily without a very strong MCAT.
I guess not so strong yet. So, hope you do your best and hope you will get the result you want.

Anyway, it depends on you. Sometimes, you are right, people need some release. Just hope you succeed. That's it.

Its not my background is strong enough, but I cant do anything about it in just one year, esp when I still have to go back school and finish my last term next Jan-Apr, and after that will be application cycle.
What I need to improve on is my undergrad GPA, which I cant really do anything with now, and probably my interview skills, which I dont think I should worry about now.

For my exam? First Aid (FA) again and again and again. And then Usmle World (UW) at least twice, word by word. Goljan mp3 again and again. Meanwhile, first aid again and again. I one understand every word in UW and read FA at least 3 to as many as possible times and understand or even memorize every word on it. One should be able to get 99 in USMLE step1. If have time, Kaplan Qbank and Goljan RRP are very helpful too.

Right now. I need to write 1 fellowship application and finish my first time FA ASAP...... It is so hard for the first time, I almost need to refer to dic. several times in every word.

what I meant to ask is how do you manage your time before the exam and if possible, any tips for study?

I know how to study but I dont know how to keep my spirit high when Im working full time and still need to study

I think we all know how to prepare, but, yes it is very hard to keep high spirit. When working for 8 hours, it is still OK. When working over 12 hours everyday with energy consuming surgeries, and over time in the weekend, I can not study either. If you work 8 hours, then you might still have some time and energy to study. I just use the simple way everyone use, make a plan and do it hour by hour, set up study hours like from 8pm to 12 pm, and then 6am to 8am, 6hours per day with 6 hours sleep. Full time study in the weekend. I even did not watch any NBA game orWorld cup, and even did not go fishing. It kills me, but we do not have many choices, do we? And set up everyday's study progress, which should be workable so as to keep efficiency. Then, if you have time, maybe you can have half day off every weekend. Then in every one or two months, you might need to inspirit and push yourself again.

I have one secret to keep my spirit, thinking about my baby's bright future and my wife's better life if I can make it. Maybe this is hard for you, but I believe ladies have stronger ability on these boring study thing. So, maybe you can just think of something most important to you. Like your own future.

Well, I know it is much easier to say than actual doing. But get into medical school or matched really worth our best try. We both know it well.

For me, I have never worked hard so far in my life,that'swhy always so so. I would like to fight with my whole life this time, as I might never have any other better chance to work hard for my family in the future. And I know as far as we work hard enough, there is no way we can not succeed. Do not leave a single weak point in the background. I think that's the best way to secure a win. Only after we have fighted up to the last drop of blood, we will not regret any more. Leave the final outcome to our RP. Don't you feel scary imanging that if failed because not work hard enough like "last chance". Thinking about "what if I did..." will make a real man cry. To me, it will be so terrible, as I have said, there is only one chance for USMLE in my howle life.

After I will have finished my grant application and start USMLE prep. again. I might not have this much time the chat on line...... Though I like to help everyone if possible.
